    Morning ladies :D

What a quiet lot you are, I found you on page 2!!

So tired this morning, had such a carp nights sleep last night, between weirdy dreams and snoring (keep wakening myself up :o) and then DD decided to pay a visit at 3.20am! Normally she would be taken back to her bed but I don't think either of us could be bothered :o:o so just let her stay.

To top it off I fell down the stairs again this morning I'm not sure if it's something I need to say to letting agency as I really don't think they are safe. Once is being careless but twice in the space of 5 weeks......! Maybe it is just me and I need to be more careful although I can't remember the last time i feel down stairs! Bubs is ok though which is the main thing, he's just wakened up by the feel of things LOL, must be breakfast time :D

OH's last day off today will be nice to get back to normal before our lives all go through another upheaval!!;)

:rotfl: Well I suppose if I'm rubbish enough not to know then I might get a home birth!

Seriously though it really is one of my worries. OH works an hour away and I don't want him coming home unnecessarily. I really don't know when I should phone him if they start while he's at work.

If it helps, those super fast labours we see on soaps are exceptional, and is this number one for you? In which case super fast is even less likely.

My labour with number 2 baby started before DH went to work, but I let him go, and only called him later, even then I told him to sort out the loose ends and then come, and he is an hour and a half away.

I felt it in my back more than anywhere at first, and unless you are getting regular waves, I wouldn't pay too much attention.

teenie I fell down the stairs, baby will be ok unless you are stair surfing as a hobby!!

    Good morning ladies

Well, mat leave kind of starts today, I'm working from home this week but have a midwife appointment this morning, and then am working from home but I've no idea when I'll actually be able to log on remotely so I just have to sit here online checking it sporadically!

Am guessing the nesting instinct has kicked in - was up at 7.30am cleaning the bathroom tiles... :)

Got a late Christmas present yesterday, a kitchen diary - it's going to be so helpful for meal planning. I also got a family calendar for Christmas with a section called "Don't forget" at the bottom so have decided it's going up next to the fridge and I can write on there anything that needs eating asap from the fridge.

Have good days everyone - Giz, enjoy your mat leave!

    Good morning all!!!!

re mat leave - my mat leave officially starts on 10th Jan and Im due on the 31st March I was trying to go as quick as poss as theres a threat of redundancy in my job and also then i save the 800 a month going on lo's childcare so worked out best for us that way.

re coat hangers - I asked in tesco when I bought a coat for lo i just said "do you have any extra hangers I could pinch" and the woman gave me about 50 lol. Definately worth asking considering its free lol.

re labour - Giz when I was having ds1 I kept thinkin labour was starting from about a week before he was due it was just wishful thinking he ended up being 2 weeks late lol! I went in to the hosp to get induced and coz they took so long to come get me I ended up going into labour they tried to keep me in but I wanted my home birth so I just left lol ds1 came out 7 hours later - so no rush lol
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

    Morning ladies!
Well, I am bouncing around this morning - found out last night that an old friend from uni, who was infertile from Chemo, and was always desperately broody, and had already been through one failed IVF cycle, is 10 weeks pregnant with a miracle baby - I am so, so pleased for them :j:j

OH is back at work today, DS is being all cute and cuddly (virtually unheard of, he's an unstoppable energy ball normally), so I am totally indulging him :o We are having breakfast curled up on the sofa watching CBeebies, while bump has a bit of a wriggle.

Sharkey, are you feeling any better today? Hope everyone is well.

    Morning all.

So 6 days now till d/date for me..no rumbles in the jungle as such yet, but lots of strong fetal movements usually late afternoon/early evening, but nothing yet I could liken to b.hicks.

Have to say I was so glad it wasn't me getting up in the dark this morning to trudge back to work! The first day back after Xmas/NY is so grim. Not missing my marathon commute one little bit! :D

Still in bed at the moment..kind of justifying being a bit lazy with the fact that within the next couple of weeks I'll be up most of the night and knackered!

Have a list of things to do today though. Want to do some cooking, need to take down the Christmas tree decs so OH can take the actual tree down this evening (I always find packing Christmas away again really depressing, so try and do it as quickly as possible). And need to make a trip to the supermarket for bits and bobs including stuff to make OH's sandwiches..I'm very MSE now :D Used to spend about a fiver a day on buying over-priced lunches at work ..vvv bad!

Meeting my friend from yoga for coffee tomorrow, she is on mat leave now which is nice to know as she only lives in the next street :D

Then Thursday I have lunch with my NCT girls. 3 of the 7 of us have popped now. I'm second to next according to dates, but anything can happen!

Still struggling with my bladder which really hurts at times. Have finished my antibiotic course, so thinking it may be more to do with baby being fully engaged now and pressing right on my bladder..ouchy!

    Hope everyone is well today.

  • I'm so excited! The baby is quite a little wriggler. This morning I was lying in bed & could feel it moving away so put my hand on my 'bump' & the baby kicked me...twice! So excited to feel it from the outside especially as I'm only 18+1 weeks :) I am very slim which I guess makes a difference. DH was already in the shower so he missed it but whilst I could still feel it moving inside it was just those 2 precious kicks I felt on the outside. I dread to think what I'm in for as it gets bigger if it already has a good kick on it LOL :)
