I guess it's the whole looking at the new year thing. I feel uncertain about the future. I don't feel settled 100% as this is a rented house and know we will have to move at some point.
.
I'm with you with that one, we are going to have to move again once bubs gets bigger as DD's room is tiny and when we do it will be the 4th time since we had DD. I would be so much happier if we could find somewhere more settled but we don't have a deposit for our own home and I have learned the hard way that once you get into private renting it is nearly impossible to get out of it. The council and housing associations just aren't interested. Unfortunately they don't see how unsettling it is as the landlord can at a moments notice inform you he is selling (which has happened twice to us now!)
And breathe.......LOL sorry but it is the ONE thing that really pees me off but not going there today!
Yummy to steak pie, we are having steak
Sharkey how are you feeling today, hope you're feeling a bit better!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Teenie - Yeah I am feeling better today still a bit bunged up but nothing that I cant handle.
Last night I felt like I was having contractions they were a lot worse than any of the braxton hicks I've had before, I was quite worried for a while thought that the baby was coming.lol. Although it was nice thinking that she was coming, made me start to panic even more about not quite being prepared. I then watched Eastenders and even though, I promised myself I wouldnt get all upset about the cot death storyline, I found myself bawling my eyes out.lol. Sometimes I am glad that I am on my own in the house, or I fear that DH would have be comitted.lol. Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -

Congratulations Tigerlee :j
Sharkey I think I've been getting more painful braxtons too - proper painful that makes me worry about how I'll cope with the real thing. For me they were a bit like having cramps before a night of throwing up and sitting on the loo, but nothing came of it - so I assume they were BHs. I daren't say anything when they happen incase OH thinks I might be in labour
I think I might have beaten all of you so far on the rock and roll NYE. Was in bed by 10pmTo me it's just another night and always an anticlimax. And OH had to be up early for work today...so at least he had an excuse.
I got loads done yesterday - washed all the baby clothes and bedding and today I'm going to iron ( I never iron) the bedding and make up the moses basket and cotbed! It's not too early is it?
I also had dinner ready for OH when he came homeI wonder how long I can keep this up for!
Today's goals are to take down the decorations and bag up the pushchair box to put in the attic.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Teenie, we were worried our LL was going to sell. When we moved in we were informed of all these major improvements that she suddenly wanted to do. But luckily she hasn't bothered.
We need to move anyway, its so bloody cold in this house even with the heating on full. The heat doesn't seem to extend out to the room from the radiator.0 -
Giz - I was on my webcam talking to DH wen my BHs were happening and it was actually quite funny watching his face becoz he was convinced that I was going into labour, he even started looking at flights to get home just incase.lol. My pains felt like really bad period cramps, but when I started timing them they disappeared. I wish I had your energy, my house looks like a bombs hit it and I just cant be bothered to do anything about it, I am hoping that I start getting into a cleaning mode again, was never like this before, I was always cleaning the house to some degree. Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0

Sharkey - maybe you've gone the opposite then and won't get the nesting thing? I'm trying to make the most of it before i want to slouch on the sofa all day. It's helping that there is naff all on telly.
Some of my jobs require too much energy though. Want to wash and hoover my car and weed the front garden, but I honestly don't think I can do it. I certainly paid for doing too much last night - had terrible pelvic pain.
Why are baby sizes so rediculously different? I bought a pack of 3 sainsburys basics range of short sleeved body suits and a pack of 3 sainsburys sleepsuits in Newborn (up to 9lb) and the body suits must be an inch or 2 shorter than the sleepsuits. Is this deliberate? Are sleepsuits made to be more roomy?Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
I had no nesting urge last time around. It even took me weeks to paint the nursery because i just could never be bothered lol.0

Morning all...... Happpy New Year to you all.....
Tiger - Congratulations on the birth of Emily...... Hope you're both well?
Nic - Hope you feel better soon, any changes are difficult, but they do come right before long....
Sharkey - How you feeling today???
We went to my brothers last night, so a pretty tame affair, although OH laid on the sofa at the minute 'dying'...... wish he could do it quietly.....:rotfl:
I've woken feeling rubbish this morning, thought I was tired at first with it being the latest i've stayed up in 7 monthsbut think i've got a bit of a cold (got that horrible headache that starts things off) and feel really sickly..... Just had some tea and toast and i'll see how I feel later.... Just starting to stress a bit as i haven't had the flu jab
Really wanted to make a start on the little lady's room today, but doesn't look like we will get round to it, oh well, suppose there is always tomorrow....
Has anyone made any new year resolutions???? :AChallenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

Hello all and congrats to all new arrivals.
I am starting to feel so big now all my tummy feels so stretched and my energy has started to flag again. I am officially in the third trimester so should be only a matter of time...seems like my name is sooo far down the list though stillI think because we found out the day after I conceived this pregnancy has just took so long lol.
Happy new year to all 2011 should be a lovely time for us to meet our new additions.
We spent our new years eve playing xbox and then were in bed by 11 lol - Im not too big on the whole nye thing anyway would rather wake up in the morning and say happy new year after a nice nights sleep lol I guess when you have children thats what happens - a full night of sleep is one of the best things ever lol.
I was woke up at 12 with the 5 million fireworks going off in every directin so I was a bit grumpy at that...OH snored through which annoyed me more lol.
and then of course im still waking up about 3 times per night to go for a wee lol. Need to motivate myself to get some housework done today.
Midwife appt on Friday - first one - its funny that their only interested in you from week 28 with your second baby. Going to ask about the HIP grant not sure if you can still get it or if you had to have spplied before 1st jan but with oh losing job its deffo worth checking out.
Ok off for 45th wee of the day lol bye xI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
