Hi all,
First time posting, please be kind
I am 16 weeks pregnant and finding it difficult to get good quality maternity clothes are a reasonable price. Can anyone recommend any sites or shops please.
Before being pregnant I was

I need plain black trousers for work & smart tops as well.
Any help will be appreciated.
Happy New Year to everyone0 -
Congratulations Tigerlee
Welcome aneer - I have bought most of my clothes from New Look/Debenhams but I kept alot from when I had DD so I didn't need too much.
Just sneaking on whilst DD is being taken to bed to wish all a very happy new year!!! _party_

Morning all, Happy new year. Here's looking forward to a busy new year with out little uns.
Well me and OH are a couple of old farts.we had 1 beer then decided at 10:30pm we were too tired to stay up til 12am and couldn't really be bothered with it. So we went to bed and were both sleeping not long after
To be honest I've been feeling really down the last few days. I feel panicky about living here so far away from my family. After seeing them all at Christmas. I feel lonely.
I've also been really narky with the kids. I'm struggling to feel happy and play some of the games etc they got for Xmas.
In some ways I'm looking forward to school starting back so we can get back into a routine, but I'm also worried about being on my own as DS starts his new nursery soon.
Sorry for the moan. I'm just not feeling very cheerful today.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning ladies and bumps - Happy New Year to you all.
Nic - Dont be too hard on yourself. It will be hard to begin with but once you all get into a routine things will fall into place. Sorry this is not much help. xx Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -
Aw nic ((hugs)) hunny, I have been wondering how you were, you have been quiet these past couple of days I just thought you were busy with your visitors.
I hope when you get back to some normality you will start to feel better. I always feel out of sorts at this time of year and was desperate to get back to work. It will be even better when DH gets back to work and we can get some order back in the house! It would have been really nice for you seeing your family and you obviously will miss them (I would miss mine like crazy) the only consolation is that they are not too far away. When does DS start nursery? You know I'm here if you need me for a chat or cry or moan xxxx
I was soundo by about 10.30pm too last night, we were watching the Chuck series in bed not very rock n rollDidn't even have one drop of alcohol just some Schloer LOL! Got wakened up bang on 12am by the fireworks, think some neighbours must have been letting them off as they were really loud, surprised they didn't waken DD!
Oh well here's to another year  Oh and I'm 24 weeks today so now have a viable bubs :j
Have a nice day ladies, we're not doing anything so might just be a(nother) pj day!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Thanks Sharkey, hopefully I'll feel better once everything is back to normal. I just feel unsettled.
Teenie yay for being 24 weeks :j I'll be 24 w on Thursday.
DS starts nursery on the 10th. It seems ages since we moved but they didn't think he should start until after Christmas as it was hectic before hand.
Thanks for the nice words. I guess it's the whole looking at the new year thing. I feel uncertain about the future. I don't feel settled 100% as this is a rented house and know we will have to move at some point.
I could be doing with a part time job but I didn't think anyone would employ me for 4 months.
Once school starts I'll try and do more mystery shopping to keep me busy and extra money.
We're also having a quiet day. Normally we visit family on new years day. I'm making a steak pie and chocolate gateux for dinner later.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one sleeping through the bells lol.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Nic - I kinda feel the same way as you, with DH being away and my dad working away(he is my only close family memeber), I feel completely alone. While I was still working full time I had something to do with my time especially with it being Xmas it was really busy and I always had someone to talk to but since being on maternity leave I have felt so lonely, I wish I was back at work and that was something I never thought I would say, but I'm sure that once the baby comes along I will be much busier and have things to do.
Im heading to MIL's to make dinner so I am kinda looking forward to getting out of the house and having a bit of company. Im making Steak Pie as well, must be a Scottish thing.lol. Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -
Good morning ladies,
Snap Nic and Tennie. DH had a lovely dinner and I had one glass of bubbly and DH didn't have any alcohol (still hungover *roll eyes*) and we were in bed at 10:30pm :rotfl: Got woken up at midnight though when someone was letting off some very loud fireworks. Was very proud that my dog slept right through them and didn;t bark - although I can't say the same about next door's dog who couldn't stop barking
Hi aneer - I've got a selection of maternity clothes from Next, H&M, Peacocks and Asos - all pretty good prices so plenty of :money:
Hope you all have a lovely day. DH is at work so I'm just going to chill out and have a tidy up around the house
ETA: (((Hugs))) Nic - just remember the reason you moved - it was to be closer to DH and I bet you would have missed him more around the holidays? x0 -
