Thanks ladies for your advice on managing the outlaws, its also comforting to know I'm not the only one having issues. Ejecoms, you are spot on my family and his are polar opposites - I have no issue with mine interfering. Problem is because of the language barriers I don't get to hear directly what OH's family thinks only what he filters through to me. I said at the outset categorical none of his family were to come and stay to "help me out" because they would be coming from overseas they would stay at least a month and just take over and I'm the sort of person who needs to be in control. Mostly I do have OH's support, but he's just been odd the last few days - I think its the imminently-to-be-a-daddy jitters.

Despite my being 38 weeks yesterday and barely able to move about, OH also decided that he wants to go out partying tonight and booked party tickets at a local pub. A crowded bar, DJ and techno music - not even my thing if I wasn't preggers.

Anyway, I'm being hounded to go and "dress up" - so better go. Hope you all have more fun NYE's lined up than me!

Hiya all

Just a quick update to let you know those cramps were contractions! The pain of them obviously got worse! Got to the Hospital at 2am on thur morning and baby Emily was born at 5.40 am fairly quick! Will check back soon. Good luck everyone (haven't read thread yet to find out if anyone else has popped!)

DH's b'day party went really well last night, but of course he and everyone else got drunk and there's me sober as a judge! We're having a quiet night in tonight and I even had a glass of pink champagne :j Just the one though - I get really paranoid about drinking!!
