Anyone know any websites where I can get info on waterbirths?
The homebirth site has some info. We had a waterbirth antenatal class which was excellent and really detailed. I could tell you stuff she told us, but it may not apply for your hospital. If you have a class on it, I'd really recommend going as there were quite a few differences on waterbirths to land births.

NYE we are going for a curry with my mum, dad and brother local to their house.
I have an ante-natal appointment on NYE, and seeing as my hospital is near there, it makes sense.
Looking forward to it as I am a big curry fan..never know it might kick start things!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

I thought it was just me. Sometimes I get itchy ears, and nothing quite hits the spot like a cotton budIf having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -

BargainPrincess wrote: »Hi Ladies,
I haven't had chance to post often as I had a long commute and busy job in London but I did read about you all when possible. After starting maternity leave I should have more time to post but as I am going to be full term on Sat I may not be here for long!!
Congrats MV. I am in a very similar position to you. Last year just before Xmas we got our BFP and were so excited only for it not meant to be and those first few dreary months were very hard. I really can't believe we are here now as we had been trying for a while. Each time I see all our baby stuff there is a mixture of joy - and fear!!
Like others I am fed up with being stuck in my London flat for the last four days due to the snow. Not even sure if I should go out today and DH doesn't think it would be a good idea either. After having a very busy job and being out of the house from 7am till 7pm each day, I am finding it strange to adjust to chilling out a bit more. Also sitting around just snacking is not helping and daytime TV is not the best!!
Oh well at least I still have t'internet!!
BP I am stuck in my flat in London too, I would love to go for a walk down to the shops to stretch my legs, but it's just too icy out there today and OH has taken the car keys to work by accident!
Similarly to you as well I was in a busy full time job, leaving the house at 7.30am each day and not getting home till gone 7pm. Going on mat leave did feel odd, and like you I was worrying whether I would start going a bit crazy, but I am allowing myself to just relax and chill out when I want to, and not feel that I have to be doing stuff all the time
After all, once babies arrive we won't have this precious time, so I'm just embracing it now.
It also gives you the time to do the things you wouldn't have been able to do whilst working full time - washing and getting all babies clothes sorted and ready, packing hospital bags, batch cooking, writing your birth plan, finishing bits in the nursery etc.
I'm also meeting up with my NCT girls once a week for lunch which is fun, and I've been able to get all my presents for Xmas bought and wrapped up in record time!
And on those lazy days, watch any films you've been wanting to see but haven't had time, read, play around on the net...it's all good :TMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Hi vroombroom.
Thanks for the congrats everyone. I'm really pleased I have to say, although I wouldn't have minded a boy so long as baby is healthy, so much of what I've been looking at is more girly.
I'm trying to be busy today, so much to do, so here's pics as promised. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -
Congrats on team Pink garnet! Love the pics too
We went into mothercare today and looked at prams. DH hates all prams it seems :rotfl:0 -
You're right MV I should enjoy this time before the madness descends in a few weeks!! I think it's just getting used to a slower less stressful pace and having my own time a bit more. Mind you I have been getting so stressed at work, I couldn't wait to finish and now I have, I am moaning about it. I think work is all I have known for the last 15 years since Uni so it's taking time to adjust to a new but very much wanted role!!0
