No CD. I honestly can't imagine listening to a CD doing it...but should I try and get hold of it? I don't know what to do. I really wanted to be listening to my own music. But if you think it'd be beneficial then I'll give the CD a go.

the cd has affirmations to get you in touch with your inner self and visulising the baby. The idea is to be comfortable with yourself and be confident that your body is designed to have this baby. The more relaxed and comfortable you are the less pain its meant to cause. Like I said I wasnt into the hypno part but the relaxation part worked wonders. My wee man popped out in under an hour of proper labour. I managed some period pains type contractions for a couple of hours before as i was so chilled out.

The second part of the cd is called rainbow relaxation and is just a woman talking very calmly about rainbow colours and getting you into deep relaxation. Always fell asleep and never made the end of the cd.

Ladies, would you put a baby in a pram of traditionally the opposite gender's colours? I'm asking cos there's a lovely travel system close enough to us to collect on eBay, only problem is it's blue check and we don't have our gender scan (is that what it's called?) until next Monday and the auction finishes in 2 days - do I take a risk and bid on it not knowing if we're having a boy and risk having to put a girl in a blue pram or do I let it go knowing there's not many travel sytems that I actually like that are close enough - and cheap enough :o - near enough to collect?

Actually... I'm probably rushing this, I'm only 18 weeks, plenty time to sort out the pram isn't there? :rotfl:
All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.

LOL @ getting em out:rotfl: I do feel for you it's not funny, especially if they are stinging to that extent. Have you any vaseline in the house? Or do you use the little pots for chapped lips (i use the aloe vera one that mabye would help)? You could try that on them and see how it goes.

:rotfl: Actually, as soon as I got home I realised I had some vaseline in the bathroom so I've put some on. I also had a good look in the mirror and it looks almost scab like - but a creamy colour. So not sure if it is like someone has mentioned (sorry forget who :o ), where maybe it has leaked and dried up. I did try picking at it but got a bit too painful. Gosh a but too much TMI there - sorry :o

    Sammy_girl,
you can get Lansinoh from your doctor on free prescription because of the cost - its about a tenner a tube ! whilst on the subject of free prescriptions you can also get gaviscon on prescription - i mention it cos i went for months buying it - not realising i could get it free

Can you also add me to the EDD list, I am due the 23rd Nov and am team yellow !
    HTH

Thanks for that. I bought some Gaviscon the other week and  at the price - so I think I will chance the docs for a double prescription for that and the Lansinoh. I get on alright with my GP, even though he is a sarky old bug*er - so I might get it if I pester him enough :D

Not long to go for you know - you lucky lady. Although Teenie won't like being "bumped" down the list :p;):D

Sammy I've deleted my list, saves confusion about updating ;)

Oh no - don't. Please don't think I'm acting like the list police or something. Oh no. I just thought I would do the list before I left work as its so much easier to do it on a PC (which I have at work) than a Mac (which I have at home - it makes it go all funny and takes me ages). Oh, I feel bad now. Anyone of us can update the list at any time :)

Giz - Did you sort your ebay issue out? I sold a few bits and then realised that Paypal was in my maiden name and I needed to set up my new bank account and couldn't. Then had to go through the palaver of emailing them passport, wedding certificate etc to change my blinking name - and then it kept playing up on me. Anyway, I've just checked on there and after 3 weeks I can finally transfer my money :j

Cutterby, I think blue is fine for a girl. I'd think twice about putting a boy in pink though.
    Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j

I wouldn't say that too loudly in here Ice lol... ;)

My neice had a blue travel system, and DD1s buggy was navy... But then there wasn't as much choice around then...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I gave up trying to change from my maiden name to married name on paypal, so just set up a new paypal account!

I'm 37 weeks today  and now on maternity leave, got lots done today, and have lots more to do this week! Got some sample pots of paint today for the nursery. Was going to leave it all white and put the wall stickers up, however there was a noticeboard on one of the walls - left by the previous owner (a painter and decorator!) when I took it down last weekend - it was yellow paint underneath:eek:, I can't believe he didn't bother to take the board down (it took me about 2 minutes!). So now need to paint the wall, think we are going for a lemon colour on the one wall just now, this is the wall that the stickers are going on.

    Sorry for the rambling post!

(((((HUGS))))) to all of those in need, and we are seriously in need of some new baby photos!!
