Back from the hospital, head is definitely down - Yay! And mw thinks the head will get through my pelvis fine, so panic is kind of over, though I am still worried, I really don't want to be induced either! So went to Tesco and walked around for about an hour! And bought some hot curries! I've had one so far, fingers crossed this helps:)0

That's good news CW, come on CatBaby!0

Yey thats good news catwoman.
I went to Tesco, it was like a circus down there. I hate crowded shops and when you are not feeling to well it's even worse. Just got the basics I needed (and the cat food!) and got out of there.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
sending positive vibes your way catw0man ..... come on little catbaby time to make your appearance!
.....and if you feel able....try what got you preg in the first place....worked for me last time round.....a nicer version of being induced!"Put the kettle on Turkish, lets have a nice cup of tea.....no sugars for me.....I'm sweet enough"0 -
Catwoman, that must be such a relief - I hope I don't have any last minute dramas like that.
Chakani, I think you are taking the right approach to the house-buying situation. When we were buying towards the end I had to get OH to deal with the EA's as they were stressing me too much (and I wasn't even having to cope with pregnancy hormones at the time!).
So you've decided on your birth pool, we are still looking but need to get something very soon - can you send me a link to the one you've chosen? Just worrying cos I want it set up in our spare room, but I've heard they can be too heavy for the joists to cope with and the last thing I want to be worrying about is crashing through the ceiling. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

I have a birth pool i had it with ds1 and it was fine! can you not have it downstairs in the living room if your worried about weight?I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

We are going with hiring this one http://www.birthworks.co.uk/rectangular-birth-pool.php
Purely because it is the smallest one we could get. If we had more space, I would have bought a Lay Z spa, or an Mspa from Ebay, they are cheaper, and look nicer and comfier, plus you can sell them on after. But we just don't have room for one so big - it would take up our entire dining room, and the midwife wouldn't be able to get in the front door!
I decided that on balance, I would rather be prepared for a fast labour and it be slower than I planned for, than plan for it to take ages and nothing to be ready.0 -
Great news Cat what a relief for you, it's just a waiting game now!
Cutterby nice to hear from you again, you should come out a bit more!
I have got a stonker of a headache, I have tried coffee and paracetamol but so far it's not shifting  Of course it has not been helped by a phone call to Captial One. I don't know if anyone will remember but last week I was worried and really peed off that they phoned me at work as I cleared my balance in March and because I had reclaimed charges, they told me they were closing the account.
Well it looks like they didn't bother and I now have a balance of £54 as they dumped an annual charge on there and I have since moved house and didn't tell them as I assumed the account was closed and have an default charge too :mad:
OMG to say I went ballistic down the phone is an understatement. I did feel bad in the end as it wasn't the blokes fault (and told him so)but these flipping companies get you at every turn. I told him I would have to give them my new address to send out a statement and waited for ages (chargeable and on my mobile!) and eventually hung up as they were taing forever so will have to get back in touch with them.
I was telling my colleagues and was getting really raised when bubs must have done a 360 somersault LOL what a fright I got and everyone was like are you ok! Anyway made me realise that at the end of the day it's not fair but it's only £50 so there is really no point getting worked up about it, it's not good for me or bubs!
OK I feel better now thanks for listening:D

It may sound a bit irrational but I don't want to use my living room -it is so cluttered, I just want a calm, empty space that I can set up the way I want with plenty of room for the midwives to do their stuff. I'm going to call some of the manufacturers on Monday and see what they say about using their pools in upstairs rooms, I mean what about people who live in flats? We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0
