I'm getting the white diamante accessory set, the plum towels with diamante (for show not for use obv), the diamante mirror, towel storage, toilet roll holder, shelf etc.
Plum blind, baskets, bin and toilet brush holder - ha ha, makes him weep but I don't care. Not getting it til after xmas tho in the hope it is all reduced but if not we are getting it anyway.
I LOVE Next, all our xmas decs are from there this year :T
Hee, quite right too! We have the Cubic Mirror with shelf and the Towel Holder. I have a set of the black drawers, an the round baskets in plum and black. I also got a black glass jar in the sale last year. Aubergine and Damson towels. Our tiles have shades of grey and black, small rectangular mosaic style ones and our flooring is a black laminate look vinyl with silver through it. It's my favourite room I think. :rotfl:
If they'd had the diamante mirror last year I'd have had that, love it. I love the sale, hoping to get some baby bits this year too. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -
DueMarch11 wrote: »Just wondering when the placenta moves? I can feel kicks and see my belly moving but its nothing like what I felt with dd, just wondering if it had moved already and this baby just has different movements to dd or if its still got to move a bit more and I'll feel more as time goes on?
It won't move a lot, it just shifts position within your abdomen as your uterus grows - but they won't be bothered about it as long as it's not low enough to interfere with the cervix. I definitely feel more, and clearer movements without the anterior placenta, and the movement feels closer to the surface, if that makes sense? OH also felt this baby move about 8 weeks earlier than the first.
Does that make any sense at all?0 -
((((HUGS)))) to those in need - I have read back but I can remember anything at the moment - not in a good place right now
Woke at 5am and thought my waters had started to go, though now it seems that it was just more show. But was having contractions every 10 minutes for a couple of hours, and I though woo hoo this could be it. Had mw anyway this morning so went along and told her, she was really excited and did the usual checks, then did a sweep - this is where things started to go wrongShe couldn't feel the head in the pelvis internally and thinks that the head might be too big, or he's breech so have to go for a scan this afternoon to find out. I'm really worried now, having contractions now but really don't know where I'm at, booked for induction next week now too.
Fingers crossed for the scan this afternoon CW - hopefully they will be able to see what's going on.0 -

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is well. I havent had a chance to read back, but will do so later today.
And..my boss has just told me that they have arranged for a taxi to pick me up from the office at 4pm today and take me home! :T So no more commute for me..this morning was the last time (for a year at least)
Also means I can take home the bouquet of cupcakes one of the girls here has made for me. I was worrying about having to struggle home on 2 trains with it.
So not a bad last day really.
Oh and one of my NCT class ladies had her baby 4 weeks early last night by C-Section...freaked us all out OH MY GOD IT's REALLY HAPPENING AND SOON!!!!!!!:rotfl:Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Ooh what black drawers? I cannot find any anywhere, i was hoping for plum drawers but worry I'll have to make do with boring old white.
Our walls will be just white and we have a wood floor and beige tiles. If i decided on plum in advance i would'nt have either but I can't change them now.0 -
Afternoon ladies.
Cat good luck for this afternoon hun, these babies do make us worry don't they!
Charlie what idiots the hospital are!! Hope you get through to them. In saying that are you sure they have the right person? I was reading yesterday that a scan letter (not sure what hospital) was sent out to a 54 year old MAN!!!! The right name, address and dob-idiots!
Ice hope you start to feel bubs soon, did you mention anything when you were at the doc? Maybe phone M/W to put your mind at ease. Get well soon x Oh and no I'm not going to tescos;)
MV-enjoy the rest of your day and your maternity leave. I remember on the TTC thread you got really upset once thinking it was never going to happen for you, but you are going to be a Mummy very soon (have I freaked you out yet).
Working full time-I did the first time round and I have to say I am so grateful I don't have to do it this time round, saying that I do work 4 days so it is near enough full time. One of those days is a supermarket on a Sunday and it is a 5.45am start (cash office) and I feel more tired after doing that one shift than I do at my regular job! I am most looking forward to stopping that shift than anything else LOL!
Changing stations/mats-we had a station with a bath underneath and it was a dream, I will definately be using it this time round again. Never had problems with DD falling off it or any near misses
Only 5 days left until scan, I am so excited! It was taking forever to come round then all of a sudden time has flown in, just fingers crossed that all is ok!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Welcome Sequeena I recognise you from the purple place
nice to have you joining us. Your EDD is 2 days before my birthday – go Leos!
With regard to comments asking if babies were planned some people just don’t think before they open their mouths and seem to think certain things are acceptable to say when they really aren’t.
I remember a lady at work asking me how long I’d been married and then replying with “about time you had a baby then” when I told her we’d not long celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. Unfortunately I’d had a mmc about a month before she said it which she didn’t know about – obviously she wasn’t to know but it shows how people say things without even thinking about your personal circumstances.
Am loving your response to the “was it planned “ question Charlie
Giz OH and I are hoping to start trying for number 2 not long after our first baby turns one. We know that if we want two children we can’t hang around to start trying again because of my age.
Get well soon wishes to all those that are under the weather – there are so many bugs going round at the moment. Hope you are all feeling better soon
Congrats on passing your test Krystal
Congratulations on reaching viability Dusty
Due March I have an high anterior placenta the same as Chakani which sits at the top. I love your bump picture and am jealous as mine just looks rubbish in comparison although I am a little bit behind you don’t take any notice I think you look great
Fingers crossed that all is well this afternoon Catwoman let us know how you got on
Hooray for last day MV I think the taxi is the least they can do after your boss has been such an ****! Enjoy the cupcakes they sound yummy – don’t want to drop one off in Milton Keynes do you
I don’t think we will be bothering with a changing station, we don’t have room in our current house for one anyway and I can’t see myself using it if we did so I will probably just use a mat on the floor instead.
Not much going on here really – Headteacher said “oh you’re getting bigger” this morning…….erm yes that’s what normally happens when you are 26 weeks pregnantthink I shall take a bump picture tomorrow to compare to my 22w one.
Hubby got bubs moving last night by rubbing my bump and talking to it while I was in the bath. Was so weird as I could feel his hand on the outside and bubs moving in the same place on the inside.
Gosh bumper post from me – that’s what happens when I try and knuckle down to some work!

Charlie1978 wrote: »Had a bit of a strange call from the hospital last night. She said she needed to fit me in urgently for an emergency scan and could I go up at 8.30am this morning. Now, that isn't even possible with 2 children still here. But I could have gone up last night were it an emergency so I asked what it was about. She said they needed to re-scan to get the babies head circumference measurements to be able to calculate the triple tests thingy. I said I was booked in for my 20 week scan on the 20th, could it wait until then? But apparently, no. This needs to be done before 20 weeks.
So I sat there last night waiting for a call back to tell me when they could fit me in which never materialised. I'm annoyed. Because I sat there imagining all sorts of things. The reason to get me back up there seems pretty feeble to me. But also - the last time I was sent for a scan they then tried to cancel my 12 week one saying i'd already had one. Yet I knew they didn't take the measurements so managed to get my 12 week one.
Now, correct me if i'm wrong but the 20 week scan is the important one. I'm not keen to give this up. The hospital don't appear to know their left arm from their right but this is my baby we're talking about. I'm damn well not giving up my 20 week scan just because THEY didn't take the right measurements that they needed. Or whatever the real reason is.
I'm waiting until 10am and calling them back. I think the way they have approached this whole thing, leaving me to worry all night is disgusting. I've barely slept. Sat here attempting to work like a zombie. I just want it all sorted out.
If anyone has a hug, i'd appreciate one right now
Oh... and someone from work has just quit because she's found out she is pregnant and doesn't feel like she can do both. !!!!!!?Hi all
urghhhhh I am feeling sooooo big!!!!
I do not appreciate people saying "Oh your quite small and neat for your date"....hmph I feel neither small nor neat in any way shape or formok grumble part one over
I only read back a few posts with this pregnancy I seem to have lost the last but of patience I had lol
RE Thrush - I had it bad a couple of weeks ago.... I used some cream that I used pre pregnancy when I got it last time. It worked ok and within 4 days it was gone thank god. I didnt take any tablets and thought if im putting cream on my doo da its hardley going to soak in all the way up through me to the baby and since baby definately wont be popping out yet i concluded it would be a safer option than scratching/wriggling/crying at it all day.
next rant - boobs! why oh why are they getting bigger. I can neither afford a new bra nor be bothered to go shopping and get fitted. Have resulted to not wearing one at all when at home much to OHs happiness :rotfl:when im out I have to just keep alert then when i bend to pick lo up they havent escaped
Im fine about the labour because i dont enjoy the pregnancy part....far too long winded for me give me a quick 6 hour labour over 9 months of stress and strain anyday
I am drinking too much tea. I know your only supposed to drink like 3 measly cups a day but I really cannot do that. Its the only naughty thing I do all pregnancy I promise!!! With last lo i was same drank a few more than 3 cups and they reckon it causes low birthweight well my 9lb 6oz lo begs to differ :rotfl:
........last but not least I heard 2nd babys are usually bigger please tell me this is just a myth I cant imagine bigger than lo
hope all bumps, babies and mummys are doing well today xx
Second babies are not necessarily any bigger. Don't stress it.
charlie
They have probably lost your last scan data, don't worry I expect it is pure incompetence.
MV I remember you feeling like it was never gonna happen, too. And your boss finally stopped acting like a c0ck. Brilliant. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
