Evening xx
Had 28 week MW appointment today. Didin't realise she was doing bloods again. Anyway cue me, flat out on bed with fan in my face!
Also measured bump, measured 29 cm, apparently it should be a cm for every week, not sure how accurate that is.
Hope you're all okay, and labour vibes to those who need them xx :A
Have mine next Wednesday and because I had the extra appt 2 weeks ago had the pre warning about having bloods done, sorry forgot to give you the heads up Hitchins was quite annoyed that mine would be at 29 weeks when it was booked lol
Update on the swelling...ouch ouch ohhhh ohhhh when going to the ladies lol....hope this doesn't keep me up tonight I need to be able to go see Imelda May in concert tomorrow night and won't be going if I am knackered lolThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Thanks ladies, I'd better order a plastic one then. Found a website that sells them quite cheaply. The sonographer didn't say anything to me about mine at my 12 week one, but will ask on Monday at my 20 week one.0

Ouch RBG.....great init? If it's any consolation on the "TMI front" my pile has returned with a vengeance!:o Sat in bath earlier and nearly went through the ceiling!
Hope you manage to get some sleep.:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -
i think it is 'roughly' rigth that you measure 1 cm for every week (tho I don't know what week this starts being true from). my bump with DS1 was always 1cm smaller then his week........... cue one baby......... EXACTLY a week late!!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

Oh a couple of people asked me that too when I revealed I was pregnant! A girl at work asked me point blank in the middle of a group of people "So was it planned?" I was mortified! I would never ask anyone such a personal question. Plus, even if the baby was unplanned it doesn't mean we're any less excited or going to love it any less! The cheek of some people!
Yeah, I've I'm shocked at how many times I have been asked the same question. Annoying to be honest, but as I'm 38 and DH and I have been married for over 11 years and this will be our first, I guess folk think that we weren't going to bother!!!
Still, think it's pretty rude to ask.
Charlie, love your response!!!!
Welcome sequeena, gosh, August!! wow, makes March sound really close!!! lol
Ice, hope you feel better soon. And you too Fanta. And Make-it-3. Crickey loads ill just now!! (((hugs))) to you all.
Krystal, well done!!!
chakani - I do hope it works out this time and soon too!!! Glad your friend was okay after that ordeal. Her OH must have been shell shocked. My OH would probably have run for the door!!!
Kataratarina - oh hope things progress for you and mummy cuddles come along soon!!!!
Ema - my OH suggested I take HIS mum for when I give birth. You can imagine what I said to that and it would so get me a big black mark on here if I repeated that many swear words!!!!
Madbird - great news about the risk of DS and the cheap stand!
RBG - best I can offer is a ((hug)).
Lillian - hope that foot has moved!!!!!
Casper - wow, not long now, laughed at the branston hicks!!!
Well, it's been quiet on the board tonight!!!!
I was a bit silly today and OH is very annoyed with me. I finished nightshift and on the way home I go down a single track road and there was a little old lady stuck across the road in the snow. I helped her and her little old husband push the car out after he'd dug out the wheels and as I was just getting them on their way, our (my oh and I) friend came along and gave me solid h*ll for pushing the car. I felt like a little kid.
He told OH as he was soo worried and I have had the riot act read to me tonight over the phone and if I am honest, I do feel pretty out of sorts tonight. But little one is moving about, just perhaps not as much as normal.
I have always been a very "handy" woman and never was afraid to get my hands dirty. Worked in a male dominated industry all my working life and guess I just "forgot" I was pregnant. Sigh.
Lesson learnt I guess that I have to take it easy.:(:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0 -
Morning all xx
Naughty naughty Coops!!:p It's hard thought isn't it, I hate having to rely on OH for certain things, alot of time I'll just do it myself! He's half decorated the kitchen, I am dying to finish it off but draw the line at lugging a fridge freezer across the room.
Hope everyone is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -
Coops I would probably of did the same thing. If I did anything that I felt was straining me then I would stop. I've had to lift boxes and move drawers etc otherwise we wouldn't have time to get this house ready.
With my first baby I was scared to do anything at all, but were tough old birds and don't need to wrap ourselves in cotton wool all the time. You just need to know your limits. Ok pushing cars is quite straining but I'm sure if you felt it was too much you would of stopped.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

"no actually, it was a quick knee trembler behind a nightclub and I didn't catch his name. But no worries, my girlfriend and I were looking into sperm donation so this has saved us the bother"
just waiting for the next person to ask me now - lol..xx
LMAO. I've had this from enough people now (including my father, my boss and several co-workers as well as relative strangers) that I try to preemptivly slip it into conversation that it was planned before people ask.
I think because we were married just coming up for 11 years and didn't have any people thought we must be every anti-children. However, you would also think that they might realise that if we have been married for 11 years and not managed to accidentally get knocked up then maybe we had figured out how to effectively use contraception!0 -

There are so many better ways he could have phrased that, or he could have kept his bloomin mouth shut:eek:
changing nappies on the floor hasn't hurt my back...and its right, they can't fall off the floor. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
