Aw BBM ((hugs)) sweetie, it is really hard to be positive at times when you are feeling so rubbish. I am so grateful that it is nowhere as bad as last time as I really don't know how I would cope. I too have found this time I am much more tired, I just didn't have the same tiredness with DD and it doesn't help with your nausea.
I have been sick a few times this weeks again but part of it has been my own fault as I have been letting myself wait too long before eating, it's been a case of oh hungry, hungry, hungry ooops too late ....sick!:D"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Time to catch up....its taking me a while, but want to welcome all the newbies and say thanks for pushing me up the list
MV, i'm so jealous of your lovely bump. Mine seems to have grown so much in the last week that i think its bigger than yours and i'm only just coming up to 27 weeks.
Had our schools winter fair on friday, really pleased its over with and i will NOT be organising any more
It was touch and go whether it would go ahead due to the weather and half the childen being missing from school as parents kept them off, despite them all being in walking distance. But it went ahead and we had an MP open it and also Forest player Wes Morgan came too-he's gorgeous. We raised £1600.50, which is bloomin fantastic
Got my midwife appointment on wednesday, haven't seen her for over 10 weeks, so hoping she can give me an idea of how big my baby is and also get me boked in for my gtt.
Going on holiday on friday to Center Parcs for a week, can't wait.
Labour vibes and well wishes for everyone out there xx:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Good Evening Lovelies
Welcome Madbird - nice to see you
(((Hugs))) for those still suffering with MS and those with rotten colds, bad backs et al. I recommend a nice realxing bath (not too hot!) with candles and a cuppa, all lovingly made by your OHs.
Teenie - Happy birthday for yesterday. 21 again was it?
MV - Loving the bump pic. I took one last week but haven't uploaded it yet but waiting for DH to take another one tonight then I can put it up. Good to see you made it to the MW. How funny would it be though if you went overdue and she was on duty when you're in full labour:eek::p
Ice - My recommendations for maternity wear are Next, Peacocks, H&M and Dotty Ps. But the instore range generally is quite cruddy and Peacocks are the worst for the tacky t-shirts lol. But I did pick up a lovely fitting pair of blue jeans in Peacocks today for £16 :money: H&M are rubbish at sizing for trousers. I am usually a size 12, sometimes 14 if they're really stingy on the sizing (;)), but I tried on their cords and I couldn't get the 14 over my thighs. I refused to try a bigger size so got some nicer ones in Next for £20 (same price) - they are sooooo comfy
Thanks for all the advice about the pushchair. It really seems to be 6 of one and half a dozen of the other - so I may just ask my mum to choose lol.
I finally got my car out today after not moving it since Tuesday and it all went good. Main roads are so much better now.
Currently cooking DH some chicken fajitas for tea but had a mishap with the oil. Picked up the frying pan, didn't realise how runny the hot oil was and it spilled over the sides on to the hob. Never seen a flame before on my ceramic hob :rotfl:0 -
Oooh JoJo - I'm loving your ticker. I may have to pinch if you don't mind0

Welcome Madbird - I remember you from the TTC thread. I would stick with the scan date as that's the one all your HCP's will use from hereon.
My LMP date and scan date are 10 days apart, so I might try to impress upon my midwife to let me go a little longer towards the end, as I'm really not keen to be induced.
I've spent the day washing my stash of nappies and baby clothes - they're all hanging up now to dry. It's hard to imagine that in a few weeks this will become a daily chore.
For those of you struggling with maternity clothes I bought most of the staples from TopShop - I found the other maternity ranges a bit fuddy-duddy. But mostly I'm in leggings and jumper dresses from the normal ranges. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Just thought I'd share my embarassment with you lumpy ladies (I've still got the lumpy part hehe) when I went into co op today and got talking to a lady who said at the top of her voice 'I delivered your baby!'
Yeah OK let everyone know you've seen my fairy nice one:rotfl:
May you all be spared that experience :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

. I also tried my first buttery (like a squashed saltier croissant) I'm in love!! They are so fattening though but I've found my new treat.
Hey Nic welcome to the North!! Butteries are fantastic - really good slightly toasted and then spread with more butter  - ha ha - no wonder I am a larger lady - although right now even thinking about them gives me indigestion :rotfl:babyboysmommy wrote: »Thank you for the support, I had really bad nausea etc until around 20 weeks with DS, hoping it doesn't last as long this time as I am finding it wearing. It's harder this time now I have a son to run around after & I'm 5 years older, I'm sure they both make a difference. Will try & make sure I'm more positive in future, just having on of those days...
Oh BBM I feel for you - I had it this time until about 25 weeks or so, I still have the odd queasy spell - and brushing my teeth is still a trial! Fingers crossed for you it passes. I found it so difficult too with having the other children - feel like they have been very neglected and their summer and October school holidays were totally rubbish! I am finding everything much tougher this time around and I put it down to being 6 years older than the last time too - I know 38 is fairly average to have a baby, but I think having had the others when I was a good bit younger has made me more aware of the struggle this time!
I feel quite guilty when I am moaning to DH and just want the baby to be here! I will never look at a pregnant woman with jealous eyes ever again :rotfl:
Not much else to share just now ladies - sorry! We have bought a pre-loved Emmaljunga pram with the carrycot and car seat that clips on - and I can't wait to use it - I LOVE it - really hope there is not loads of snow when baby arrives or that I have had a section - will be gutted having to sit and look at it being pushed by someone else :rotfl::rotfl:DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz
DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Morning all
Bakc to work tomorrow - as long as this ice clearsI have been offered a lift to work by our Head of Commercial Development, he's really nice but I don't know if I want to share a long car journey with him, hmmm. I'd still need to get myself home as well and it's probably more dangerous walking on black ice in the dark than the morning so it's not really safe regardless.
