  • Hi nic

I know how you feel with 'stuff' everywhere - we've not really unpacked since moving in 2 years ago, and just we've just taken all the gubbins out of storage too, so even more boxes everywhere. It can get overwhelming if you look at it all at once.

When it gets like that here, I make a list of things to do - eg put away clothes, sort out books, tidy dining room etc, and also set myself a time limit for each task. I can then look at things a bit at a time, which makes it seem a managable job, and the time limit stops me faffing too much. I'm currently making a list ready for Christmas so that we can have everything at least vaguely tidy in time.

Be prepared for things to get a lot worse before they get better, and don't be afraid of having a temporary sacrificial room where everything gets put until it has a permanent home.

    Good luck with it.
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

Tinks, good to see you, love the pics on FB!!!

Nic, (((hugs)))) sorry things are a bit stressful!!!! I am sure as HM suggests, if you take little jobs at a time it will soon look more manageable.
Not sure where you will put all the DVDs/CDs/LP though!!!! One idea I have for you/OH is to put a shelf up round the top of a room, up above the door frame, to store them, out of reach too from little hands. That is what my DB did as he won't part with anything either. Looked pretty cool too, just a pain to clean!!!! Just an idea......

Quiet on here today isn't it!!!!!

Oh yeah, Nic, For food shopping, there is a great ASDA and a big Tesco there in Huntly (used both many a time) so they would probably be good and to be honest, I would use the internet for pressies as there are so many good deals to be had at the moment and I don't think that Aberdeen is really all that great (and will be very busy!!!). ;)

  • Aww EA, those pics are fab! It's amazing how quickly they change and develop. 2 weeks on Tuesday til my scan...

Madbird and Perdi, welcome over! It's good to see you here. :)

I'm still a bit moan, whinge, moan I'm afraid :o. Legs have been agony today, it's coming from my back/pelvis. It wasn't helped by throwing up earlier. It's a bit better just now, but getting a bit beyond me at times. My own fault for being too cheery this morning, I was singing along to Christmas songs on the tv and doing a very limited version of dancing. DH said the baby will be wondering what on earth was going on! :rotfl:

Going to see the consultant tomorrow hopefully, except she might be off and I might get a registrar instead, so long as they're better than the gastro one I saw I'm not too bothered.

Going to take my first bump pic later... :D

Oh and I keep forgetting words in the middle of a sentence, very annoying!
 Mummy to an amazing little girl

    EA fabby pics.

Calling all clever folk can you tell me how to make my ticker a picture instead of just a link, please?

  • Evening!! Not long back from cambridge..what a horrible journey that is!

EA those scan pics are fab! I llove the one of the baby's tiny hand! How cool is that??!

Welcome over Perdi and Madbird..lovely to see you over here :)

Grateful are you fully recovered now? Hope so :)

Sammy I agree choosing a pram is a real headache! There are so many to choose from, and I found the whole thing a bit daunting!

Emsy and Delain - hope you're both doing well..nice to see you're still popping in to keep an eye on us ;)

Tinks- how is that gorgeous girl of yours getting on? I saw your FB pics yesterday, the ones of your DD with Lily are just lovely. Is she a proud big sister?

nic - I'm totally with you on the pre-xmas panic. I just can't seem to get into it so far this year, and normally I love Xmas and get really excited. We're going to try and get a tree next weekend, so maybe once that is up I will get into it a bit more. Mind you we do all have a very good excuse for being a bit preoccupied! :rotfl:

Hngry - hope your sickness eases up soon. You really seem to have suffered :(..must mean you have a super-strong bubs in there though!

Got home to find cat poo and sick on the kitchen floor. Nice.

That's what happens when you lock 2 cats in for a night. Couldn't have left them outside though as it is just too cold and have no cat flap. OH is just finishing off giving the floor a good steam-clean..shudder.

I'm making macaroni cheese for dinner tonight..it's a cheesy delight! Comfort food is the only way at this time of year!

ummm..I'm going to have a proper read back now so sorry and hello to anyone I've missed.

I don't think you can add the ticker to a signature, i just added the link to it, to the bottom of one of my posts for occasional updates. But if anyone can figure it out please let us know :-)

Calling all clever folk [/B]can you tell me how to make my ticker a picture instead of just a link, please?

Ok, so did you copy the link from your ticker from the baby gaga site? You want to copy the second list in the link states it is for forums.

Then open a reply box here and click on the little picture that looks like a postcard. You want the link to start with and end with. That prob does sound much help but have a go!EA - Great pics. I love the hand :)

MV - Sounds like you had a good weekend. Shame about the cat poo and sick though. Mmmmm - macaroni cheese. I might have to make some myself now - I really fancy it.

DH took a bump pic for me last night, but he is cr*p at taking photos - we always end up arguing cos they turn out so cruddy. Anyway, I will upload - just need to find the lead.

DH just got the tree out of the loft so hoping he'll put it up today wholst I project manage :)
