GFH - So it sounds like the Quinny Buzz works for you then. Tbh, we're not rural but obviously we take the dog to parks, fields etc - and where my parents live is very rural, so we need something suitable for there too. But I'm also likely to be pottering around the shopping centre too - so don't want anything too big and bulky. Oh, it's such a hard one. There's almost too much choice!

Also useful is whether you can lock the wheels or keep them on swivel. Swivel is good in town, but locked is good for dog walking. Lots of buggies prob do that, though.

  • On the subject of the Quinny Buzz

I had one of these for my daughter & I loved it whilst she was little. It was everything I wanted in a pushchair. There are a few things I'll tell you about it - If you end up having a c-section then don't think you will be able to collapse it easily...I learnt from experience! Also I found it a nightmare when my daughter got older. It just refused to be pushed on any kind of high shine floor. So that is most shopping centres :( The front wheel just would not spin. I have known lots of other people complain about this being an issue too. Other than that it was fantastic & in all honesty as most people will say by then you will probably have decided to get a smaller umbrella buggy. It's not put me off & I'm seriously thinking about getting another one for baby no2. I loved how you could just click the car seat on to the frame or the carrycot. I've not found one up to yet that I like the look of more either. Shame I sold mine at the beginning of the year! Oops!
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
Sammy, there is no rules to say you cant have more than 1 buggy/pram for baby I have failed to find a buggy that is perfect for any situation, they just don't exist!

I have a combination of a Hauck Infinity (purely for the carry cot and the seat can face both ways) and a Petite star Zia (for when going anywhere by car, the infinity chassis will go in the boot but cant fit in the seat or carry cot unit, or anything else for that matter!) I managed to find an adapter on ebay the other day that fits on the Hauck so I can use my maxi cosi car seat.

Sammy - We've got a graco travel system from ds1

This one just in a different colour (Brown and Beige Checkers) It useful as has all the bits
    Carry Cot
Car Seat and the stand to stabalise better in car
Pushchair (a pram if you put carry cot in)
One hand folding mechanism (so easy!)
Parent Tray (with drinks holders and a closed bit)
    Child Tray

Like I said its useful for all the bits however it is really bulky. The good thing about it is the underneath storage you can fit soooooo much shopping under it its unreal lol. My friend who I used to meet up with used to bung all her lo's stuff under ours as she didnt have any storage under hers.

Got a lightweight mclaren when lo was 1 which we use now most of the time. I only use the big one for trips to the zoo or such places where the storage comes in handy
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

    Welcome annibee!

I'm afraid I can't help on prams/buggies etc: I found even the idea of looking at them completely overwhelming. There just seems so much choice and I don't know where to start. Fortunately we have been lent a pilko pramette travel system to use. If we find this doesn't suit us, at least I'll have an idea of what we like and don't like.

I looked after a friend's 10 month old for an hour today - longest I've ever had to look after a baby on my own! Made me realise how completely unprepared I am to actually have my own baby!

I've officially started nesting - spent the morning cleaning the kitchen properly - taking everything out of the cupboards, rearranging etc. I should carry on but it is so cold, I'm just going to hide in bed!
