I'm glad you are getting the maxi cosi too, I may try and get the base cheapo off ebay then the car seat from Kiddicare - it's £135 on there, have you seen it cheaper anywhere?
I saw your post - have to say I wouldn't be happy if my OH decided to rip out our bathroom like that!!!! In fact I probably would've killed him (not literally) but you know what I mean. I hope that when you get home it isn't too much of a bomb site
I think we are going to get the Maxi Cosi cabriofix whereas you said you are thinking of getting the Pebble. The Cabriofix is a bit cheaper than the Pebble but I'm not really sure what the difference is between them. We haven't actually looked at them properly yet I've just been doing a bit of research into which car seat works best with the Zoom/Sola prams.
I think going to look at them is going to have to be the next thing on our list of baby related stuff to doOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
Welcome Curlylou, I'll add you to the list on the previous page.0

I'm watching Malawi: Hope Delivered, it's all about a maternity unit in Malawi, it's heartbreaking, babies and mums dying everyday, it's filthy. It was filmed 5 years ago and STV viewers raised money to rebuild it0

Wow, the new hospital is fantastic, they were losing on average 30 babies each month and 1 mother each week. They are now down to 5 baby loses per month and when it was fimed 2 months aftger opening no mums had been lost.0

Hey lovelies
Right, think I'm about caught up! Have been drooling over some of your lovely pics, pleased to hear me & Dusty don't have entirely the same taste, will fight you for Cowell or Ramsay (bit embarassed about that one!)
Was someone asking about pushchairs?? After looking at lots and lots (v technical) we're going for the M&P Sola, did try the Zoom and was v tempted by the offer its on at the moment but the Sola just seems a little more sturdy. I'm going to be using it around the lakes and to take bubs to see OH play rugby, but it also needs to work in town and fit in OH's renault clio. Is currently the number 1 recommended on Which.
Now I'm just waiting to see if M&P have one of their 10% off days (not sure how often they come up, they had one when I was first looking for a pushchair but wasn't ready to get it then).
Hope all of you up north (or anywhere with snow) are keeping warm and being careful on the ice. Its cold enough here, we have a sprinkling but not enough to skip work!!
MW appointment was fairly simple, heard heartbeat, she felt him move (little wriggler!), asked a few questions about flu jab, hospitals / birthing centres etc, seems I can't look round the hospital birth centre as they stopped this when there was the swine flu scare. Also talked a bit about water birth (think I'd like one). I am much less worried about bubs now I can feel him moving.
Lillian, you made me laugh with telling your OH there was a present in bed and it not beeing nookie. Surely you could manage both, it is his birthday and think how cosy the blanket will make it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks for the tips about reusable nappies! I fancy giving them a try, will probably look a month or two after I have baby. Our council have a loan scheme so think that would be worth a try.
Welcome to the newbies, and appropriate vibes / hugs to everyone.
