    Morning :)

I am here twinny, I was away all wknd and the thread got so long I can't remember what's going on!
Gurr at twinny's OH, can you at least get him to send you link to bathroom suite? Mine would lose something important to him if he did that! Are you sure you're not trying to copy my DIY reputting up house before baby arrives?

Hugs to Lauren, what a pita especially the woman at the school taking it seriously! I did the same to my mum once when I was 5, when I arrived at school the headmaster told me' off and I never dreamed of doing it again!

Hugs mv for the git boss as well. I can't believe him replying really??, I would have replied what you wrote above!!

Erm, sorry not sure who else said what. Have mw app this afternoon, bubs is very wriggly in anticipation, or I'm starting to think just takes after his father who can't sit still!!

Our 2 year old boiler broke on sun :( something to do with a frozen outlet pipe, poor OH had to drive around 3 diy shops looking for something to insulate the pipes with so it doesn't happen again! Working again now which is a big relief especially as we're already panicking about the amount to do before I pop!

    Hugs to everyone :)

  • thanks for the hugs guys.

When I first left to my mums I told him in no uncertain terms was he to 'patch' this leak up which he has been doing (wrongly) for the past year, which is why it got so bad. I told him it needed fixing properly - he took that to mean I want a new bathroom, errrr no, just get a plumber to fix the leak, we can get a new bathroom after xmas.

Ema - he has no idea how to switch a computer on never mind email a link. I'm sure it is the one I was looking at anyway, he described it to me and sounds ok.

I've told him in no uncertain terms is he to go tile shopping without me though. He wants black tiles - IN A BATHROOM...can you imagine the shampoo/conditioner smears to deal with? - he has no idea. I also wanted a walk in shower which he has said no to,

I'm on edge at work though, I'm off weds, thurs and fri this week, me and OH booked a mini break to Chester thurs to sat - god knows if that is happeneing now. I've got a million things to do at work before the end of the day and all I keep thinking about is what is going on at home. I'm starting to see the funny side but if he's picked something minging it's going back. Oh well, it's doesn't rain but it pours..!!

Well, maybe I should stop moaning about how much I have to do and get off here and do it :rotfl:

    Self indulgent post alert:

So I get up at 6am this morning cos it has been snowing so I know there'll be heavy traffic. Half way through my shower and it goes ice cold. Shout OH (who is off work all week) who comes in and tells me all the fuses in the house have blown. He goes to have a look and can't get the electricity back on, boiler gone off so no hot water or heating.

OH then rants on again about a leak we have in the bathroom, which has been there for about 12 months and he hasn't done a thing about it, it seems the leak has gone through to the kitchen and blown the fuse in the boiler which is directly under the bath. Now obviously this is all my fault for daring to have a shower of a morning and not at all his for leaving this leak to get so bad.

So after a few choice words I throw clothes on and drive to my mums to rinse the shampoo out of my hair and dry it.

then come back home to finish getting ready, only to find OH has decided to RIP THE WHOLE BL00DY BATHROOM out and we are getting a new one. Now normally I would be thrilled but 3 weeks before xmas it is the last thing we need.

So I flounce out and go to work, my usual journey to work is 40 mins, 2 and a half hours later I arrive in work (traffic) and burst into tears, no-one gives a !!!!!!. I ring OH who says he has just been to Wickes and bought a new suite - I have no idea what it is like, how it looks, whether it is what I would have chosen or anything.

It is being delivered tomorrow and his friend is fitting it this week. Then we need the walls plastering, tiling etc and the kitchen ceiling replaced (absolutely sodden) AND a new boiler. and it looks like I'll have to move to my mums for a few weeks til it's done cos we still have no hot water or heating.............

AAARGGGHHHH.........I should be grateful of a new bathroom but AARRRRGGGHHH......men and their bl00dy implusive decisions...!!!!

Poor you :( That's awful - although saying that, we've also had a leak under our bath for about 6 weeks now and I wish OH could be bothered to sort it out! I've left him to decide what needs doing to the bathroom in the new year so I'll probably have a similar story soon!

    I've been Money Tipped!
If its any consolation I am still looking at a washing machine that should have been plumbed in ages ago and a car window that hasn't opened in 8 months! Men say they will do it, get narky when you nag but when you suggest paying someone to do the job for them it hurts their male pride.

All OH has to do is extend the cold feed pipe and replace the relay for the window.

I am feeling exactly the same!! Its doing my head in, feeling guilty??FOR WHAT??

If you have any guilt then you must care for your job. I wish I felt that way. I will definitely not be feeling guilty.

Dusty - I am really sorry, but I laughed at your post :o It's such a man thing to do :) Try and focus on the positives :D

We had our roof fixed this morning, another £350 gone :( Kinda felt sorry for them out in the snow though. It's been quite consistent here for the past few hours.

I watched the grounds man at work blow away a path of snow (with a leaf blower), only for it to set behind him! What a waste of time. I can't figure out why they don't put some grit down.

Not looking forward to the potential traffic getting home later. That's the only bad thing about snow.

31 week midwife appointment tomorrow :D Where did the last 3 weeks go?!

I would - but I can't be bothered. To be honest, we know it's there so we've got the bath panel away and have a washing up bowl under it so it's not actually leaked onto the floor since the first time we noticed it. I kind of resent paying someone to come and fix it when we'll probably have the whole room refitted in 3 months...but I know I should do something really!

Mine should have been today but I'm not having one as I have a 32 week placenta scan so it's happening then instead. So I'm jealous you get to hear the HB today but I'm just looking forward to seeing peanut again next week - am hoping they'll be able to tell me for sure that it's a boy!

    ?!

Don't worry I'm seeing the funny side too.....positives:

    * new brand spanking bathroom
    * the joy of seeing OH upto his neck in plumbing on his week off :D
    * having my mum fuss over me for a few weeks

Men eh? - don't even get me started on the double glazing he went ahead and ordered behind my back, from Sh1tstyle UK - got it fitted 3 weeks ago and already 2 windows have had to be replaced through leaks and now the window in the nursery has gone. Not his fault at all - apparently new double glazing will leak while it settles in - !!!!!!?? I honestly do not know where he gets his ideas from.
