Hello! I've been lurking for a while but as I'm now 13 weeks I thought it was time to say hello & move over from the other thread.
I have DS (4.5) & we have been trying for another baby ever since, a string of miscarriages & finally we are here
It's a high risk pregnancy for various reasons. I am at risk of premature delivery although DS was induced at 37 weeks so I'm hoping we get as far this time. I got really bad SPD last time & am already starting to feel twinges so I know I'm not going to escape it.
I will do my best to keep up with all the posts0 -
Welcome babyboysmommy. Sorry you've had such a tough journey. Here's hoping for a lovely SPD-free and premature free pregnancy. :A:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0

Morning Ladies and Bumps,
I really am struggling to keep up with this thread at the moment and I try to scan read to get a gist of whats going on.
Welshlassie- Sorry you feel that way but I have often been ignored but figure people just dont know what to reply, although there are a lot of ladies on here they don't always know the answer.
RockingB- I hope your infection clears asap. I had a similar experience with the antenatal department at my hospital when they rang to say I had anti-bodies in my blood and would like me to have another blood test in a few weeks, I tried to get them to elaborate on what it ment and they just kept saying its nothing to worry about. Only now I'm worried
Sorry for anyone else these are the only ones I remember.
As for me I'm feeling ok but spd is slowely getting worse at the mo as I cant seem to adjust to not doing anything:(
On a plus the nursery is decorated and the furniture is in there
Have a good day.

Welcome and congrats:jWelshlassie wrote: »I'm now imminently due and absolutely terrified I will have a horrendous birth again, and that baby will be still born because of the drugs I've had to take for 8 months so I won't even have anything nice at the end of the birth to show for it. I don't feel able to even discuss this with anyone so didn't really know where else to turn. I haven't seen my community midwife for about 6 weeks as she's gone back to the delivery suite so end up seeing random doctors on my consultants team who don't know me from Adam. Am feeling very lost and scared.
Your body will cope. Do you have a birth plan yet?Hello all i fear I have joined this thread a little late, we are currently 32 weeks with our second and so far so good.
How is everyone?
Welcome and congrats!:j:j
bbm I am so very pleased to see you here, God Bless and keep your bean, well much more than a bean now, and you too of course.
I am off sick today, feel like a bag of spanners, thinking I may have actual 'flu instead of just a vicious head cold.
eta nic I meant to say Happy Moving. We all agreed with your decision, you've made it now, so revel in all the good things about it, honey and enjoy having all the family together. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Morning all..welcome over BBM. Fingers crossed all continues well for you.
I'm not venturing out today. Snow has finally hit London, and I'm not prepared to slip over/get stranded just to get into my office.
My boss isn't particularly sympathetic (we havent been getting on too well the last few weeks), so am awaiting a sarcastic response to my email, but to be honest he can go swivel if he doesn't like it!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
well we've had 3 inches of snow...... but no one could get up our road as we live at the bottom of a valley. So OH had to walk in to work, then about 10 minutes ago a gritter came down our road!! I am shocked this is the first year they have bothered with our road. I am quite happy as I am supposed to be going out today with a couple of mums and it is now looking that it could still be a possibility

Good morning
Hope all ladies and bumps are well this morning. We've had the mearest smattering of snow here, its not even worth mentioning and it looks like its not going to stick around long either. Hasn't stopped MIL coming to pick up DD for school. My OH & MIL are treating me with kid gloves at the moment and they don't want me venturing out in the slippy conditions because I don't need an excuse to fall over at the best of times!! Usually it would really grate on me but I'm milking it for all its worth because I know it won't last for very long!
I also have a bladder the size of a thimble with a stomach which feels about the same size, I feel that I'm constantly on the toilet for one thing or another! I'm really struggling to eat very much at all still without feeling full/sick but at least I'm trying to eat something. I'm sure bubs will take what he needs from my stores so I'm not that bothered at this moment in time.
My cold has gone to my throat/top of my chest so will have to keep my eye that it doesn't turn nasty. I'm drinking hot lemonade with honey to soothe my throat and the baby seems to love it! I assume that I can have honey, I couldn't find anything to say not to have it.
As for Mr. himself, he has been wriggling like mad and I'm looking forward to my growth scan tomorrow and I might find out when they are planning to evict the little fella.EDD is now only 67 days away! How did that creep up. Only seems like yesterday since BFP!
Welcome Jade, cyclura & babyboysmummy
Grateful - sorry you are feeling so carp. Hope you manage plenty of rest and fluids today.
RBG - hope your kidney infection clears up soon and sorry you had such a rubbish appointment x
Princess - the next time bubs decides to be naughty I will have to try the belly button trick. I must admit I've never heard of that one before!
Welshlassie - no need to apologise for how you are feeling. I know what you mean about seeing random consultants, I get fed up of trying to explain my past history to them all the time. I'm sending you virtual hugs and once you have your baby in your arms nothing else will seem to matter anymore. Its a perfectly normal reaction to become jittery so close to the birth and I'm sure everything will be fine. Put your trust in your body as it will know what to do and don't be frightened to make your voice heard if you are not happy with anything. xx
Good vibes to everyone else & the lurkers! xVirtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -

@jade - welcome
@cyclura - never too latewelcome. I'm 31 weeks tomorrow, so not too far behind you

Argh.....just had the morning from helllllllll!
My DD (i use that term lightly now) has been acting up since 5.30am and has not been in my best books, trashed her room, bit her brother and just generally been vocally defiant about everything, she has a constant high pitched shrill that makes me want to bag her up and dump her in the canal some mornings.
Cue 8.30 (time to leave) still dithering about what shoes and gloves to wear, still cant find schoolbag, hair still not brushes, teeth still not....breakfast all over face (she nearly 9 btw) needs a wee, needs this..needs that......
The words hurry up to her clearly mean 'stop everything and go extra slow....'
Anyway did her hair (her hair has nerves apparently and cue a massive tantrum) shoved a wet cloth in her general direction (another meltdown that i was treating her like a baby) then the walk to school (as slow and embarrasing as humanly possible with her crying like a lamb x baby x murdered cat)
We are very late at this point, parents are doing the walk home and cue DD sitting on a wall about 100 yards behind us refusing to budge (it crossed my mind to just leave her there but i decided to drag her by her scruff of her coat to school (kicking and screaming the entire way, past the school hall where assembly has started to the office to sign her in, shes was hitting me the entire way...explained !!!!!! was happening and left it at that.
Anyway school have just called to notify me they would like to involve SS as i hit her with a hairbrush! assaulted her on the way to school and humiliated her in front of the entire school, DD does not want to come home now.
I dont know if i want to kill DD or kill the stupid woman at the school who clearly has never had to deal with a 5ft tantruming child!0
