SA- forgot to say, told me to stop baby aspirin 36 weeks unless they tell me before then. They said very small risk haemorrhage.

Section was fine. Felt a bit out of it for about 30 mins after, but I was so hungry and thirsty, when I ate something I felt much better. Let DH nurse her for the first hour as I really didn't feel up to holding her. He thought I had PND. As soon as I ate something I breast fed her and she's been quiet as a mouse since.

Don't worry. It was totally fine. It was a bit surreal, I told the anesthesist I felt like I'd been abducted by aliens. There were 7 staff in the theatre, but it was good and painless(until later I know!) I'm very happy with how it went.
  • By the way just out of curiosity...has anyone heard from Ticklepenny this week???

  • Hiya! I don't post here very often but try to keep up with what's happening most days!

Congrats to all new mums and dads out there :-)

After a bit of advice. I am 27wks tomorrow and working full time, but work is pretty stressful... A colleague left earlier this yr and due to budget cuts they didn't replace them, thinking the work could be done by the remaining 3 of us (1 being my boss). For the last 2 months my boss has been signed off sick and is expected to be off until next yr. This leaves 2 of us in the office. However I only seem to be able to hack a cpl of days in a row at work before feeling exhausted, struggling to sleep and have constant headaches, so this leaves my member of staff on their own. I don't know what to do for the best, saw midwife earlier this wk and she said if work gets stressful to see a GP... But I would feel bad if I get signed off knowing I'd be leaving my colleague on her own. Just feel pretty useless about everything and not sure what to do for the best. Anyone any advice or been in a similar position?

Thanks in advance... Apologies for the long post... Well it seemed long to me as I'm typing from my iPod.

What are you main worries hun?

I've had two and have definitely got to have another one. Midwife confirmed it today.

They aren't too bad. Takes a while to feel normal again and for me personally (got back problems) the epidural was one of the most painful experiences of my life!

But once you're holding your baby it all seems worth it. Feel rubbish and quite granny like for a few weeks after (walked with a hunch for weeks I did!) but you plod on and make the most.

    :)
