Also the only other thing i can suggest is have you (or steve) ever incurred any charges on your bank account or cards-as i'm sure you know you can claim them back? (Cant remember if this has been asked before)

Any chance of free upgrades on your mob phones so you can sell your old ones on envirophone?

Cheers for the tip on the water-i thought we were over paying 12 mths-just rang them and its been reduced by a fiver.
By the way have you accounted for your recent rent increase?

We haven't had any charges that I can think of. If anything it would've been the odd one which tbh would be more hassle than it's worth claiming back.
No chance of upgrades yet as our contract isn't up til october.
As for the rent increase, yep, that's in there. :)

Evening dfw's! Well what a day we've had! Ste's been at home today which has been nice but didn't stop me having a serious emotional meltdown this lunchtime. :( All's fine now thankfully and I feel better for having a good long cry.
The main news us that we have a new addition to the family, a new tv! Means tomorrow we can call up boxclever and tell them to take a running jump. After a long chat this morning we decided to go for a slightly smaller and cheaper tv so we would have a bit towards dorothy perkins left over. We had £350ish cleared in the debt account so we had a look round the net for tv's under that. We found one that was also on sale in woolies so we went into town but they were totally out of stock everywhere. We decided to have a quick look in tesco for one just on the off chance and the cheapest one they had was £399 but it had everything Ste wanted and we bought it. We had to use £50 out of the £2 tin which we took with us but weve bought one, Ste's really happy AND we got clubcard points for it.. how MSE! lol. We need to call boxclever to cancel tomorrow and we need to find a stand for it but we saw one in argos for £30 which we'll pick up when we have a spare £14 (We have £16 of £2's left. :)). Going to use the tax credits this week for Ashli's party and safari park but then we're going to start afresh saving to pay off dotty p's. :) Hurray! Happy new tv and happy saving £37 a month! woohoo!

Here's the family.. lol... note the freeview box on the right very kindly given to us by themaccas... Ashli's currently sat watching cbeebies in all it's 32 inch glory. She's fascinated by it! Please excuse Ashli's massive bouffant hair style.. I brushed it the wrong way last night after washing it and it's like this now!!! lol!

I haven't been online for a couple of days (working...) and can't believe how much has happened! Sorry to hear about your PND, I had that after I had DS and it's not nice, but it does pass, I promise.

The new TV looks great (and Ashli's hair looks soooo cute lol), and Kaitlyn is adorable. I like the new avatar too - it's like you are saying 'Yes, I'm a mum and a wife, but look, I'm still ME too'.

Good luck with your action plan, it's really helpful to write things like that down sometimes, so that they're not just vague ideas swirling around in your head.

Enjoy the party and the safari park trip and don't feel even the slightest bit guilty about it!

Right have just totted up the figures. Going to use the £16 in £2's plus £14 out of this weeks tax credits to buy the stand for the tv, which leaves us with £68 for the party and safari trip. From then on all the tax credits and child benefit will be going back to paying off debt (Unless any nasty suprises come up, like the stress with wages again!). I've worked out that by the end of March we'll have £284, and then all being well we'll have £681 by the end of April. Which will mean that dotty p's will be paid off plus we'll have a £200 buffer in case anything goes t*ts up again. Next month we'll hopefully have cut out some of our outgoings as well which will help. Have cut our outgoings down by £44.59 so far.. may have to add that to our signature to keep track of how we're doing. :)

Feel better knowing that dotty p's will be paid off soon too. :)

Grrrr, hope your wages are paid on time this month, you could really do without the extra stress at the moment. It wont be long until the end of April and you can cross another debt off the list.

Don't forget it goes back over 6 yrs (i'm thinking Steve's account rather than yours!!)I thought we wouldn't have many charges too but looking back they came to 360 quid!! I totally didn't notice that over 6 yrs but it all adds up!

Booooo @ south staffs council. Called up to ask if we can have the council tax payments over 12 months instead of 10 but we can't. Personally I don't see what difference 2 months makes but ho hum.

It's Ste's driving test tomorrow... I think he'll pass, but I can tell he's getting a tad nervous which is understandable as it's the first time he's done it. He's a good driver (I wouldn't let him drive me and the girls around if he wasn't.) but he gets in a flap about little mistakes so he's really got to keep his cool tomorrow of he might make a stupid mistake that fails him. I think he'll do it though. I have all faith in him. Will obviously update with the news tomorrow. He better pass, his instructors getting £60 off us tomorrow for a 2 hour lesson and the hire of the car during the test! :rotfl:

The £2 saving tin has been reborn. We've taken an old SMA gold tin, sealed it and wrapped it in paper so we can decorate it so we're starting afresh. This time the £2's are going to go towards debt. We'll have to go back and shop at tesco to see if we can get back some of our £2's we gave them yesterday! :rotfl:

Anyway, best go, the whingebag needs a bottle.
