OH thought I should mention that I've booked a dr appointment for tomorrow morning. I really don't seem to be coping well at all with K and had a complete meltdown yesterday evening (Hence my post on moneysaving in families etc. :( )and Ste basically told me I had to go and see someone. My hv is in Malta (lucky cow) so am going to see a doctor I've been to a few times before who's nice and hopefully he'll be able to help. Could really do with Ste going with me but he's working. :(.

Hello, I've read your diary over the past week or so and have to say that you're an inspiration. Really impressive - thank you.

Just to say that I really hope your doctor's sympathetic and can help you. So many women suffer PND without getting help so you're taking the right steps towards feeling back to normal.

    Good luck,

    Kate

Glad you made the appointment. I cant offer much in advice - I am a lucky one and (so far) have never suffered in this way, but have had relatives that have.

Recognising there is a problem is one of the biggest hurdles, so that one is being dealt with and out of the way!

Are you sleeping properly? I know night times are a real pain and probably out here, but are you napping during the day when baby is asleep? Are you able to get Ashlie to nap at the same time too?? An extra half hour can make a world of difference to your well being.

Are you eating properly? Taking multi-vitamins (check if you are breastfeeding though - there are special ones). All these can help to "perk" you up

Lastly, are you getting out? Even if it is just to the supermarket. I was shouted at last week for going to Tescos when Ruby was only a few days old, but there is only so much blue paint on my walls and Cbeebies I can take!:rotfl:

(but note that these are all a help - not a solution to the problem).
