My hv has just been round to do my 6 week postnatal check. I had to do a postnatal depression questionnaire to see if I was showing any signs and apparently the results say I've got mild postnatal depression. :(
That must be why I've been feeling so overwhelmed and down recently. I told her that I've been finding it hard and have been really stressed recently which I guess is to do with the PND. Funny, I always imagined PND as being really severe but I guess not.
She's coming back in 2 weeks to see if it gets any better.

Dont forget about Freecycle for TV's and kids birthday presents. I remember 1 poster saying that she got most of her kids toys from this. On my local freexycle, there are always loads of TV's, Freeview boxes etc.

By the way, keep going, you are doing really well. Inject some (free)fun into everyday. ie, have a carpet picnic for tea, put records on and dance etc etc. Being a mummy is really hard work and sometimes the work overwhelms the fun of being a mum - especially with little ones, but you never get this time back, so try to enjoy your selves.

Can't believe you had your 6 week PN HV check, that time has gone so quickly. Sorry to hear about the PND, will she come back to see you or do you have to see her at the clinic. My PND score was very high after last DS and my HV came weekly to see me for about 6 weeks, I really appreciated it at the time as I felt really pants!

    hugs

ps - box sent, hopefully you'll get it early next week

Hey I-A, I must visit this thread more often. Sorry to hear about your PND. You'll come through it. But depression, whatever kind is a strange thing and affects us all in different ways. Take any medication they offer. Keep smiling. Lenny

She's coming out to see me again in 2 weeks as she's off to Malta next week.. it's alright for some! I have my good days and my bad days today being an 'ish' day.. (ie goodish but badish.. if you get what I mean. lol). Have told Ste and he was like 'Really? we'll soon sort you out'. So hopefully he'll take up some of the slack and help me out.

thanks again for the box, we really really appreciate it. :)

    Hi IA

I have just spent the better part of 2 hours reading your entire thread....WOW!!:money: You are such an inspriation! How you manage is beyond me:confused:, I have a 19 month old & KNOW I couldn't cope with a newborn too right now, let alone the burdens you are dealing with. You really deserve a debt diet award IMHO!:money::T:money::T
I read Jools Olivers Diary of an honest Mum a couple of months ago (which I really enjoyed), IMHO you should write the diary of a modern mum, much more down to earth than her & much funnier & much more realistic. I just love your writing style.
Good luck with everything, I will keep reading your thread with much interest.

Here's a :grouphug: becuase you really are a special person;)
Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Good news on being paid today althoug you shouldn't have had to wait!! I really think that as she messed you about she should have given you extra!
