Well, I know I tried to talk you out of it, but only because i thought you would feel bad for buying it......but ohhhh......it's pink....and pretty.....
You deserve it, and here's a thought......could you use it to help teach your little childmindees about music and instruments? And would that then make it tax deductable??????
lol sounds like a plan to me...
It could have been worse though... the one I REALLY wanted went for more than that for just the guitar!!!
I feel bad for putting it on the credit card.... but so excited about getting a new bass even a dodgy kidney won't stop me!!!
I've told Ste that his treat is the fact that he now only has about £150 worth of debt compared to me who now has about £1400!!!! (Obviously discounting the car loan...). He should be bloody grateful! lolTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Once you've cleared the last couple of credit cards, it might be worth having another look at the car loan to see if you can get a better rate. Your credit rating is obviously on the up, and Ste's will probably be improving too, now that he's almost debt free (thanks to you and your lovely new 0% egg card), so you might be able to get a much better apr.
It does depend on whether you would pay any penalties to repay your current car loan early though I suppose. No point getting a really cheap loan just for them to whack on hundreds of pounds of charges."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I've said it before and I'll say it again.. I hate living week to week! We quite literally have £37 to get us through to weds and we need formula and nappies and the fridge is basically empty except for milk, butter and some broccoli!!
It's a complete and utter nightmare... the child benefit goes in on tuesday but instead of paying it straight off the citi we're going to put it one side in an 'emergency fund' rather than a debt fund and anything else extra like ebay money or the £30 I was planning to save for car stuff is going to go into that too. The car tax and MOT are up in september so am not going to pay anything else off from the emergency/debt fund until we've passed that and have enough money to pay it. *sigh* STRESS! At least the debt is now at a manageble level it's just a case of moving the DD's around once Ste's in his new job. Might start looking at a way to spread the bills over the month instead in one lump at the start.......
Not feeling too bad in myself, better generally than yesterday but everytime I move it hurts like hell. Feels like I've been given a good kicking!! Ouch! Hopefully the Antibiotics will kick in soon.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I have been so wrapped up in myself that I have missed this little nugget..
Good girl, its about time you treated yourself..
I am very pleased you bought it. Now stop worrying about it, as I know you probably will. We need a bass guitarist for Blackpool to go with the two drummers we will have!
Hope the kidneys get better soon. I am off to sunny Liverpool now for the evening..Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Hiya,
Sorry to hear you are so rough. I had something similar and I found that by sitting on the couch with my feet up with a hot water bottle was the only way I could stay comfy. I know the weather isnt great for my suggestion but it really did help.
I hope you feel better soon!Debt Free - done

Hi IA
Sorry you are feeling ill. You have my sympathy because (a) I'm prone to kidney infections myself (I have even had to have 2 minor ops because of them - ouch!) and (b) I am ill at the moment as well - chest infection this time (I am prone to these as well because of my asthma).
I am surprised that the doc did not give you any antiobiotics. Did you take a sample with you? If not, next time you go make sure you take one - they can do a quick test there and then (I think it detects whether there is any blood present).
Best thing you can do is to drink lots of water. My doc has told me that kidneys work better if they have plenty to go on. Cranberry juice is also good but if you don't like that have you tried the ones that have blackcurrant or raspberry juice in (both Ocean Spray)? Also alcohol is not good - even now if I drink too much my kidneys hurt!
Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon.:grouphug:PigginSkint's debt free diary

Have to admit to being slightly surprised, as I've never seen you as a particularly pink person before!
Enjoy the bass - feeling guilty about buying it will just mean it's money wasted! Definitely use it with the kiddies too - if only to give some accompaniment to twinkle twinkle!
