Symphisis Pubis Disorder (not sure about the spelling) - it's basically when the ligaments relax too much in your pelvic joints (due to a pregnancy hormone called relaxin - this is what it's supposed to do, but it can work TOO well, and relax the ligaments too much, so that the joints become unstable). It's an extremely painful condition....or at least it can be, if you have a severe case.
Or it could stand for Space Patrol Delta, if you have a 6 year old boy
This link explains it much better than I have done!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

When I had my first child (6 years ago), the doctors didn't seem to know much about SPD - in fact I never actually got a proper diagnosis. It was only through researching it myself later on that I realised what it was. Now, thankfully, they seem to be a bit more clued up on it.
Thank goodness your two were born okay despite the strep b - it must have been a worrying time for you. Fantastically quick labours though!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Hi all! Bit of a double update today as updating where we stand January challenge wise as well as baby wise.
Right, bump wise we have had nothing, nada, zilch and I think she's settling in for the long haul. I know, I know she's not even due yet but considering Ashli was 10 days late I'm not holding out much hope for an early arrival! But we'll see. May go for a long walk later down our local market to see if I get her to shift her !!!! that way. LOL.
On the money side of things today is that last day of our weekly january challenge budget and based on estimating Ste spending about £5 today (Haven't spoken to him yet but it's normally less than this anyway.) our spending this week will come in at £33.. meaning a grand saving of £52.92 This week! Going to put £50 of that into debt savings so will have £254.95 in the mothercare pot! (Ste bought me a book yesterday for £3.50 using the savings which is why it's slightly less but I'm not going to have a moan because he's such a sweetie and knows that it'll keep me sane a bit longer...lol.). :rotfl:
Add that to the rest of the tax credits and child benefit and the savings total will be £431.07!!! Meaning that we'll only need to save another £32.24 before we can pay off mothercare completely!!!! Woohoo!! :j
I have had to rejig the weekly budget though as we've ended up with less that the original budget but baring in mind we've also been savings all our £2 coins and having to estimate daily spends on days that Ste's forgot it doesn't suprise me. Either way with saving the £50 form this week our NEW weekly budget will be £69.79 (or £9.97 per day... easy peasy as on a normal day we're coming in at around £4 anyway.). Plus there's only 17 days left in the January challenge anyway so we should easily be able to find the £32 we need to pay off mothercare on the 31st. Hurrah!
Hang on... I've just had a thought... the normal mothercare DD is due on the30th (normally goes around the 3rd though.) so wonder how that'll affect me paying it off??? Will have to call them and ask... I know that the DD this month is £18.50 so I guess I'd probably have to take that off the total or something... will put up a post on the board and ask... because I know someone will know the answer! I love this site....Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hey IA
You are doing so well!!! :T :T :T
It will be goodbye to the mothercare debt before you know it!
As for the DD, you can either call them and cancel it, if you know you will be paying the card off by the deadline or if you allow it to claim, then you need to deduct it from the debt
Keep it up and hope Kaitlin arrives soon - no tips on how to hurry her though!Leason learnt :beer:0 -

Hi mooz... thanks for that.. currently on the phone to them to find out which is going to be easier.. will probably just let them take the DD just in case something happens and we can't pay it off in full on the 31st as planned so at least we don't get charged... Will update what they say as soon as I get through... god I hate being on hold..Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Right just got off the phone to mothercare and they've cancelled the direct debit so we'll be paying the full amount on the 31st over the phone... off to cancel the dd on our internet bank! Woohoo! Can't wait to get rid of it once and for all!!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Right... done and done! the mothercare Dd is cancelled and £50 transferred to debt savings... just 3 weds worth of £35.44 to add from the tax credits and the £69.80 child benefit on the 31st.. plus the extra £32.24 to find out of our savings and then it's paid! woohoo! Does mean having to go into town to put the child benefit and last tax credits in the bank as cash on the 31st otherwise it won't clear for 3 days but that's no trouble really... will give us an excuse to get out of the house! lol!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
