If people don't understand the pain that SPD causes, I just tell them that my ligaments aren't holding my joints together properly, so it's like dislocating my hips every time I move - probably not very accurate, but this is what it feels like!! People tend to be more sympathetic if they can relate it to a pain they might have experienced themselves.

Hi IM, just to let you know I go on holiday on 28th so Kaitlyn had better have arrived by then! Have you tried scrubbing the floor and em.... other reported ways of bringing on labour ;) )

Am really impressed with the progress you are making, on a low income and with a new baby coming you are doing remarkably well and staying really focused. Also, you are still relatively new to the site but are giving great advice and encouragement to others - well done!

    Hope Ste gets his promotion.

Commiserations on SPD - TBH had never heard of it till a few months ago (my genration must have been fitter :rotfl: ) but friend's sister has it - daily updates are scary  .

    Hope all goes well. x

  • Hi again all.
    6 days til K-day!!!
Had a midwife check up and everything's pretty much the same as last week, blood pressure fine etc and she's still 3/5 engaged but that doesn't necessarily mean I won't go into labour yet as second babies normally engage much later than first babies but saying that Ashli didn't engage properly til I was actually in labour so not worried. I have another check up next tuesday but here's hoping I won't need it! lol!

Other than that no signs/twinges/anything to report! Boooo! lol.

How long do they let you go overdue before being induced? Not wishing to tempt fate or anything;)
I'v always been late and always felt 'cheated' when my due date came and went.

They might be willing to induce you a bit sooner with you having SPD...although it depends if they have an appointment available I think. Lets hope you don't need it though - come on Kaitlyn, out you come, Mummy wants to meet you (and so do we!).
