Hi again all! Thought I'd start posting baby updates as well as money one seeing as K could be here any day now.
11 days til K-day! Can't believe it! My bump has dropped LOADS and my SPD been's really bad because of her head being engaged, but I'll forgive her as she's at least headed in the right direction. Everyone's convinced she'll be here by this time next week... we'll see! Spending my days pottering around trying to find things to occupy myself with. Taking Ashli to toddler group today though so at least I'll get out of the house. Getting serious cabin fever!
Otherwise no other signs of imminent baby arrival.. will keep you posted though.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi Sarah,
I've just found and read through your diary, and wanted to say Hello  and well done for all your hard work so far. It sounds like you and your OH make a great team.
You've inspired me to crack on and do something everyday towards clearing my debts, even if it is just watching my spending. I really like the idea of setting up a separate account for debt clearing savings. I also like the idea of the savings tin needing a tin-opener (where do you get these from, was thinking what I could buy in a tin and empty through a coin-sized hole, to resuse the tin, LOL).
Good luck with the baby too, it's very exciting. :T"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

The tin was actually given to Steve for an xmas present and was originally a swear jar type thing. Think you can get them in places like burtons etc...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

*apologies in advance if you've already read this in another post as I'm too lazy to write it all out again for the sake of my diary.. LOL.*
Steve's won a competition! Well I say a competition, he entered one of these text something to an 8090 whatever number in Rocksound magazine and he's been picked as runner up and will get a copy of 'crusty demons' for the ps2! First prize was a guitar but he's not complaining because a)he won something and b) he should get about £15/£20 trade in for it at gamestation! lol....
Just goes to show that those competitions aren't all scams after all!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

10 days til K-day. Felt really rough last night but feeling a bit better this morning. Was having mild period pains last night and was convinced something was going to happen overnight but alas nothing today. Oh well. A friend of mine has taken Ashli out for the day so I can just relax and potter around without having to worry about picking her up etc. I would go back to bed but it's too painful to lie down cos of my SPD so will probably just do odd jobs here and there. It's funny how quiet the house is when Ash isn't here! Doesn't feel right! lol!
Come on Kaitlyn.. mummy's had enough now... I'll be sending in an eviction notice soon!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Thanks for the info ref breast feeding. I hope that you have a more understanding midwife team this time. If they haven't sorted you out by the time you leave hospital, maybe your gp's midwife would be able to help you. I found that I didn't actually get proper milk for about 24 hours after I had my DS's, and then I had boulders!!!!! I had to laugh when it came out under pressure a couple of times. Poor DS1 had to gulp as fast as he could go to avoid drowning!!!
Best of luck with the birth, we are all eagerly waiting kaitlyns arrival.

Hi Immoral, sorry to hear you are suffering with SPD. I've got it too, and I can vouch for how painful it is. I had it with my first baby, although I wasn't really bad until after the birth (but then couldn't walk at all for a few months, had a wheelchair to start with and then crutches, although the SPD affected my elbow joints too, so even crutches were not ideal). This time, the symptoms have started much earlier in the pregnancy - eek. I'm having to wear almost flat heeled shoes and boots, which is a bit of a shock as I'm normally a 3 inch heel girl (I can't believe how short I feel lol).
Are you having any treatment for the SPD? I hope it clears up soon after the birth for you. I've been told to ensure my midwife knows I have it, so that they don't aggravate it during the birth.
Apparently the worst position is on your back, in a sort of sitting up position, particularly if the midwife tries to get you to brace your feet on her hips (mine did this last time). I've been advised to try kneeling up, holding onto something for support, as this way gravity can help much more.
If you are planning on an epidural, ask them to measure (before they numb you) how far apart you can comfortably open your legs, and make sure they don't open them any further once you can't feel the pain.
I'm sure you know all this already though, so just take care, and try and enjoy it all as much as possible (hohoho!)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
