Ah the bladder kicking, I remember it well. My second child was quite small and breach too, and he could kick for Britain let alone England, I swear there are still small foot marks on my bladder.....

I don't know where you have said whether you are breast feeding, and using reusable nappies, bit money savers both I would have thought?

Best of luck with the birth, I am sticking at two, but every now and then I find myself thinking , .......just one more? No no no!

Am going to be trying breastfeeding again. I tried with my first but had a completely useless midwife team at the hospital who gave me no help at all and when I hadn't managed to feed her for 12 hrs just gave her a bottle instead of helping me feed her myself.
As for the nappies we're using disposables... have had first hand experience of reusables (work at a nursery) and didn't get on with them at all!

Well it's the end of week 1 of our January challenge! We spent £38 this week meaning that we've saved £47.92 out of our £85.92 budget!!! Woohoo! That brings our debt savings to £209.01 already even though we've used £21.50 of it for Ste's theory test!
Good start to the month! :) We'll be able to pay off mothercare in no time!

Am having a really good day today! Went to see the MidWife for my 38 week antenatal check up. She checked my blood pressure which has actually gone down from last week and is now back to 120/70 as usual. My bump is measuring fine and based on 'averages' compared to belly size K would be about 7lb if born now. No other problems and Kaitlyn is still head down with her feet under my ribs!

Also she's gone from head free last week (Which she's been the whole way through) to 3/5's engaged this week!!!! I can't believe that in the space of a week she's nearly fully engaged and headed in the right direction for her exit! You never know.. could this mean she'll be coming sooner rather than later? Fingers crossed! Ashli didn't engage properly until labour so we can but hope....

Also today we went into Stafford so Steve could trade in some games to get Football manager 07 for his 360 (So he didn't have to spend £40 on it lol.) .. and on the way back we stopped off at matalan so we could look for a new coat for him as his current one has a MASSIVE rip down the side seam under his sleeve. He managed to find one that he liked for £35 which is really nice and considering all the other ones he liked were £50+ I can't complain! Also I bought a pair of trousers for after K's born for... wait for it... £1!!!! Can't believe it! I had to double check the price 3 times as they're gorgeous and really trendy, not like the usual crap you get in the reduced section! I love Matalan! We had to use money out of debt savings BUT considering Steve has been desperate for a new coat for ages it's worth it as we can make the money back up and I'm not going to deny myself a £1 pair of trousers!!! lol!

Steve also had a great driving lesson this morning so all in all it's been a great day! Now all we need is for K to get her skates on and we'll be well happy! lol!

January challenge wise we have £173 saved now but another £35.44 tax credits are going in tomorrow so new total will be £208.45 BUT we're well on track for being able to recoup the money we spent today from our weekly budget :). Will keep you updated!

Hi hun, just to say well done on the debt savings- you're doing so well. I had a bit of a scare with my baby yesterday as I had some bleeding but thankfully all is ok. The baby is 6lb already and 1/5 engaged so I'm a little behind you! Good luck and I'm looking out for the post that says you're in labour :D

Not far behind you! Will keep an eye on your diary to see how you get on with maternity leave etc- I haven't started mine yet. You're doing so well financially- you're an inspiration.

Hi Immoral, you're doing fantastically with your debt repayments. I'm a bit baby-obsessed at the moment so keep waiting to hear that you have gone into labour! If the head is engaged, it can't be long now! Take care and look after yourself. All the very best, love Snaggles xx

Oh and Mrs Sparkles, sorry you had a bit of a scare, I'm so glad everything is okay though.

I had to start my leave at 29 weeks because of SPD and the fact that I was really struggling to work. Means I'll have to go back earlier but couldn't have managed much longer at work TBH.

Oh ladies - I am jealous! Not only are you super disciplined you're pregnant. I feel all clucky. I love matalan too! It rocks!... although it's a bit like ikea, unless you're careful you try and buy a load of bargains and you've spent a small fortune (but got loads of good stuff!)
