I know it's brill isn't it! MIL has managed to raise £40 offline which I've added onto the page to show the combined total.
Hoping to be able to make it to £300!

Nice to hear that you didn't have to spend anything to get the new xbox IA - fingers crossed you get the broken one replaced though as you'll be able to get loads towards the next debt with it!

Part of me is really tempted to use the £31 from ebay to get my hair dyed and cut.. I haven't had it done in 2 years and I want something new but the trouble is it costs a fortune as it's so thick! BUT that £31 was supposed to go towards debt... argh dilemma! I would do it myself like I usually do BUT I'm rubbish as cutting my own hair apart from trimming it and want it dyed black with red highlights underneath which I couldn't do myself.... Hmmmmmm..
Plus we're going to the Cradle gig on the 26th so it'd be nice to have a new look for it...
Come on girls, what would you do?Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Get your hair done - it will boost your morale no end.
I know you say the X box cost nothing - but the £20 your friend gave you could have gone towards something else....
You are putting an awful lot of effort into getting your life and finances sorted, one haircut isn't going to be the end of the world.
Good Luck with everything... I'm going for my first Childminder meeting tonight, Hubby is dropping me off, so that I don't get lost too... its the kind of thing I would do!

I'm normally on the side of 'don't do it, use the money towards a debt', but on this one, I really think you deserve a treat. You're coping with such a lot, a new baby, a toddler, recovering from pnd, debt-busting, plus you are helping others with your race for life and entertaining us all on here every day. So I say, get your hair done, get a few cheap clothes, treat yourself a bit. It will probably lift your mood so much that you will make an extra effort to save money for the next couple of weeks!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Sorry to be mean but is this because debt dieting is getting tedious and it's a touch of because I'm worth it syndrome, £31 is greater than 1% of your outstanding CCs (which at 27% racks up a massive £270 a year interest per £1000; £270 will easily buy a weeks holiday - not a grand holiday but a holiday)... I know it's not real money to some extent but the stuff you traded in could have gone to ebay instead and become real money and the telly did cost money (vs. a free cr&ppy TV off freecycle) so it has still been an expensive month... Could you get a cheap haircut at the local tech (or whatever they are now called)?0 -

I kind of agree with this too.
Can't help but think the peace of mind of having a bit of cash in reserve for the next inevitable unexpected expense might make like smoother; but kind of also see how much work Sarah's put in and how many savings she's made despite the tendency for her housekeeping money to get sucked into consumer electronic toys for her third kiddy.0
