The loft is empty :j
One trip to the tip has been done, and we are about to go and buy DS some school shoes, so will return home via the tip again.
Much has been sorted, and XOH will come round later today to go through his things and take what he is going to take, and whatever he doesn't take will move across to the charity shop pile.
I've got a couple of boxes of papers relating to my dad's estate and my grandmother's estate that need to be gone through, sorted and stored properly, so I will try and do that this evening, otherwise one evening during the week.
All in all I am very pleased with what we have done - DD has worked really hard too, and whilst we are shattered already, I think it has been worth the effort!
Well that is a good job jobbed :T
Think you deserve an evening on the sofa now:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Well done to both of you Hypno! :T :T An evening on the sofa well deserved I say too! :T :T
Fortunately, we sleep in the loft too, so I know exactly what's up thereShame the same can't be said for the cellar  (or the little bedroom for that matter - 'workshop' (with workbench and tools - we don't have a shed) - would work very well, but sadly is usually filled floor to ceiling with all the other cr*p that would normally go in a loft! :rotfl: One day.... but it's not a priority right now...

Well done Hypno, what a relief :T.
Can't compete with that but I can report my car is 2 years old this week and went in the garage for the 1st time this afternoon :T, after much moving of stuff & hanging DS's bike on wall . The car is quite wide so one wing mirror is folded in, and I have reversed it in. I think that will be the best way really, even if I do have to navigate round friend's bike which hangs on that wall. Hopefully it will be gone by the New Year. The bike that is, not the wall :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I may have done the loft, but I still have the shed, cabin and garage to do.......:eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Feel quite
that my garden furniture (fabric covered) including parasol is still sitting in the yard as is the one in the garden:eek: trouble is it really needs to be dry before i put it away in the over stuffed shed and the weather has been so wet not had chance:D
Well that's my excuse anyway and i am sticking to it.
Mom that is disgusting . What a slacker you are . My cushions have been away for ......erm, at least 3 hours now :A (table & chairs are left out but still need to be moved. I didn't want to overdo it)

Ex has collected most of his stuff (as much as will fit in his car) so that is good enough for today. The rest will go next week.
I will take the charity shop pile on Friday, and will tackle the cabin next weekend - if today is anything to go by, it won't take me as long as I had feared.
The amount to go up into the new loft is very reasonable, so it won't contribute too much to the cost of removals!
Definitely stopped now - have got coffee - dinner is in the oven, and I really won't be doing much more this evening!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I have been putting off the packing for long enough - if all goes according to plan, I only have 3 or 4 weeks before we move, and given that I work full time, plus have teaching every Saturday as well, it doesn't really give me a great deal of time. As it is, I expect I will have to use some annual leave in the few days before I move, but at least one of the grotty jobs has been done, and I no longer need to have nightmares about it!
I reckon I can do the cabin and the shed quite easily next weekend after teaching.....which will then leave the very scary garage for the panic clearing that will invariable take place!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
