If it fails try the trick I discovered ...... I tried MG's tip of imagining Thunderbird 1 carrying a big bell jar to place over the negative person. Unfortunately every time it gets close to him the engine kind of stalls, it dips & clunks him on the head. Well, works for me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Or you could just tell them to 'Get out of my way, I'm fabulous' X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Morning all - it's the weeeeeekend!
This morning I have taxi driving for the kids to do, and will fit in an hour's run or so somewhere. Then need to pack a box or two just to say I have made a start, before heading out to the match at lunchtime.
I was offered another teaching session yesterday, to be done in the new year, so that is encouraging.....I will simply put the money away from each of these to go towards something "social" for me and the children to do in the summer - whether it will be a day out in London, or part of a summer holiday or whatever....it will be good to have some spends already there.
I need to get a couple of things on freecycle today too, so that they can be collected (hopefully) next weekend. That would instantly make a difference to the "feel" of the house as bits of furniture go!
I hope you all have a good day xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

*waves* to FF....
When my new SOA is drawn up (have obviously done several drafts just to give myself something to look forward to!), it will have a little breathing space, but because I am on my own with still a mahoosive mortgage (will still be over £1100 a month) there is not exactly going to be a massive slush fund available to me each month if we want to do the nicer things in life, although the position will be infinitely better than it has been for many a year.
So, whilst I don't really want to return to the necessity of doing mystery shopping, and the like, I do need to keep things in absolute check, and be realistic about what funds I have coming in.
That means that whatever extra comes my way, via teaching, bonuses etc, needs to be used wisely because if that is wasted, then there certainly won't be anything in reserve to use should we want to do something fun.
I am very much looking forward to that period between Christmas and New Year, when I can sit in my new house, doing my new budgets, and allocating things like teaching cash to the new, more fun, potsSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground.
