Just love that, I've heard it before but forgot it.

Thanks Souk - I will remember that one.....most appropriate!
My runchum has called off because of the wind (we are very exposed in our area and if it is very windy, it is probably the worst running condition we can have) so I need to motivate myself to go and run on my own today.....more coffee needed first!
I also need to do a trip to the tip, wait for Mr Ts to deliver, and do a mass of ironing. I've had another wee cull of my clothes for the charity shop.....anything I had kept on the basis I thought I would wear it, but hasn't been worn yet this winter has gone. There is not much that I DID keep, but there was more than I thought! Funny, how we think we have been ruthless, but have actually been far from it!
My problem here is that my bedroom has very little storage in - the last one had a mahoosive built in wardrobe thing, so keeping stuff was never a problem....now I am down to only being able to keep what I have room for, otherwise it all looks a mess, so that is a good opportunity to keep my capsule to just that - a capsule.
I might take another look through and see if there is anything else that can go - I am sure there is!

Friend of mine came round yesterday, and I did intend sorting my wardrobe out. Made me realise that in fact I don't wear anything in my wardrobe on a regular basis! The ironing pile is the stuff I wear during the week for work, and weekend casual stuff. It gets washed, ironed, packed in suitcase, so I never got to my wardrobe and get different stuff out. Lots of it is 'going out' or too good for work, but there must be things I could wear.
I only have one wardrobe so it should have things in that I actually wear. The other stuff can live in the box under the bed.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Definitely work through it, gill, it is pointless keeping things that just don't get worn - however nice or good they are. Pass them onto someone else who will get the use out of them, and enjoy the order and space that you create as a result!
That's the theory, anyway.....I am still very much working on it in reality!!
Went for my run - did a very hard 7.33 miles. It was so windy and was just blowing across the fields so much that I was constantly battling against it, but I did a good time, so I am very happy with it - had it not been so windy I would have gone for longer but will save that for another day!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Getting rid of stuff is a chore, but well worth the sense of lightness you feel after you've got rid. I need to do that too. Just because we've got a bigger house with more storage is not an excuse to hang onto stuff I never wear - that's job for next week I think...
Well done on the run Hypno :T I am waiting for it to stop raining (plus I'm still feeling the effects of Friday nightI such a lightweight these days!) but will pop in later to let you know my progress. Have a good day x

mine is a smaller house so I really must get to grips with the "excess" stuff otherwise I will just end up in a couple of years time, being dragged down again by "stuff", and having just taken myself out of that zone, I don't really want to be revisiting it!
My run took 73mins, mac, which I was more than happy with given the gale that is blowing, but my legs really did struggle for the first couple of miles or so. I could easily have turned back early on, but was glad I perservered. I would prefer to run in the rain than this sort of wind though! Good luck with yours - take it easy, though!
Right - have had coffee, so the shower beckons.....back soon when I am a little more fragrant, rather than pungent!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Yes I saw your time on the running thread - that's good going in the wind. I'm sure the resistance of the wind helps to improve your performance. A guy at work is in training for the LM, but has only ever run on a treadmill. He is adamant that he'll be fine on the day, but I think there's no substitute for getting outside.
Now all I need to do, is follow my own advice and get my 'arris in gear :cool:0 -
I only use my treadmill if I know that there are likely to be long periods of not being able to run outside due to snow etc, otherwise I would prefer to be on the roads any day.....I don't think there is any substitute when training for something like a marathon.
Showered now, so going to make another coffee.....have a bowl of cereal, and get the next batch of ironing out of the way so that I don't end up with a huge pile of it this evening....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hypno, hope the ironing pile is diminishing, and Mr T has everything you want ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
