Barclays really are the pits, but hey ho.....I've said my piece
funnyflipp - it is a site that is full of private rentals - no eurocamp or anything as far as I can tell.
Chev - hope you had a good time - welcome home!
Mac, I did 12 miles sunday, and a couple of shorter runs Tues and Thurs this week.......have 14 miles scheduled in for this Sunday :eek:
DT - am just about to head to your thread to see what you are confessing to :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Have a great time in the south of France - we went about 4 years ago and it was the week before the Monaco Grand Prix. OH drove most of the circuit - very impressive. It takes them 6 weeks to put the course together!0

It's never straight forward is it?! Re: Barclaycard. Something that seems quite a simple task for them to achieve takes time and effort on your part to sort things out! Useless.
Happy Friday everyone! :APround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

also grrrr to Barclaycard from me! that is a very presumptuous (sp?) error, however genuine, and could have led to a lot of trouble. I had a similar letter sent to me about something to do with my ex hubby's mortgage, at my house. I was furious and also very upset so hope you gave them hell in a controlled but clearly angry way!
have a good weekend x0 -
Would it surprise you to say my ex used to be a manager at Barclays??? :eek: :eek:Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

That happened with my account too when I left XDH but instead of sending the card to my new address, they sent it to him at our old address (and one to me at new address) and he helped himself to £1000!!!!! Bank got it back from him but only after I sent them a solicitors letter. It took weeks.
Of course it was before MSE days and I didn't demand compensation, if only I knew then what I know not. But sure how many times a day do we say thatLBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
(CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84
There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

I am sure it is happening all over the place - and not specific to just one bank. It is a sad reflection on the reliance we place on automated procedures, I reckon - in the old days a human would have done things and seen them through. Now we place too much on the computer and the humans who work there simply just don't understand the processes and procedures in the same way as years gone by so they don't get spotted and sorted quickly enough!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Morning all - today sees me taking DS to watch Norwich play Crystal Palace away. We are heading down on the supporters' coaches so no need for me to stay awake while driving....I will try and make it MSE by making sandwiches to take with us, and to buy some cans of coke and some crisps from the supermarket on the way. The coach was cheaper than taking the car, for just the two of us, so that is cost effective too. Should be a good day, and if we bring back the 3 points we will be more than happy.
Other than that, nothing to report - I had a lovely evening last night.....went for Friday drinks with the guys from work. Spent just under £15 all in, and made sure I got the bus home rather than needing a taxi, so again a good compromise, moneywise, I think.
Whatever you do today, I hope you have a good one!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
