There is neither gilt nor guilt as far as my spends envelope goes :)

Today's plan - out for a run this morning, in the hope that my legs will work....they feel very heavy again today so we shall just see how I feel when I get out there. Supermarket shop of some sort is required, although I may be tempted to do the local shop instead, and to do an online shop for later in the week......, and dinner today will be Roast beef. While that is cooking I will potter, and do very little!

Have a good day everyone x

Morning Hypno - hope you enjoy your run and are having a good weekend.

I have now finished your 2007 diary, but cannot find the next installment, and wondered if you could point me in the right direction.

    Great news on your holiday:j

apply for the London and the Edinburgh one as I am unlikely to get into the London one in the first year which means a nice holiday in Edinburgh :j I guess i apply for this just after the one this year also?

Hi Dedicated, just to say that as marathons go Edinburgh is not a very good one - I found it boring and it was not really well organised. Why don't you do Brighton - much nicer and better organised.

    Hi Hypno,

Sounds like you're living the dream. Skiing in Switzerland, summer in the south of France, and the ultimate a budget that allows you to get to away matches for the football :)

Hope your run goes well this morning. Really hard freezing frosts yesterday and today here, hope it's warmer where you are.

14 miles done....very cold, but not icy so not bad at all really.

Collapsed now and once I have warmed up I will decide what to do next.

  • Hi All

FW - Thanks for the information - at this rate I'll be signing up for 3 marathons and getting places on them all :eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Yes definitely good to know as I've never been to Brighton and would like to visit :D

Fresian - the lure of a cuppa :coffee: definitely helps with the motivation :D Have added into my diary the sign up months and will be hoping to get a place :j

Hypno - well done on your run this morning - think it'll be a while before I'm reporting in runs of that distance :rotfl:

A day of sooking a roast dinner and general pottering sounds good :D

To be fair, it was a coach trip to see a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace - not quite in the same league as Switzerland & South of France :rotfl:

Have you looked at the prices of football season tickets and away tickets!!! It's definitely a big budget item, especially when taking others too, and for away matches travel costs. Being a football supporter isn't a cheap pastime unfortunately.

    Very fair comment :rotfl:

But remember, we have to experience the lows in life in order to appreciate the highs even more :D
