Absolutely - because I have volunteered so much over the years at the ski club, I am still on pretty much "free" skiing. Last night's session cost me £1, and I think I spent £4 in the bar. And it is only 5 miles away from me, so the cost of getting there isn't prohibitive either.

As for the aches - well, once I am back into the proper routine of running every couple of days rather than the haphazard effort I have been making over the last couple of months, I will be fine. If nothing else, it reminds me that I must be doing some good.....and will be lithe and trim before I know it :rotfl:

SOOO glad you're sounding happy Hypno and yes you do just have to make the effort if you want a bit of a life! Didn't run today as my hip is still sore from the other day (to be expected for a first time I think) so i just went for a lovely swim instead...and really enjoyed it. X

Glad you enjoyed your swim - I am quite capable of swimming but have little desire to do it as a form of exercise. Not quite sure why, but it just doesn't appeal!

I hope your hip feels better soon x

I like swimming, and ought to make the effort to go more often, particularly as I could now swim during the day when the pool is quiet. Would love to be able to run, but two dodgy knees put paid to any ideas of that! So glad you're loving your skiing too Hypno!

Morning all - TFI Friday!! And it is payday to boot, so that will do me nicely!

Was so tired last night that I just did the slobbing on the sofa that I was tempted to do on Wednesday :o Tonight I have a girlfriend coming round for dinner so that will be fab.

Today I have to take my car in - the locking system has decided to go and not only can I not lock or unlock the doors properly, but I can't even shut the boot, as it the lock decided to jam while the boot door was open! Great! Oh well, it cannot be avoided, so I just have to hope the bill is not too bad.

I hope you all have a good day = Happy Friday, guys xxx
