  • Nothing like a forced change in your life to change you totally. I changed back to who I used to be when I separated. My friends said I was me again. The person they knew and loved. Was strange to hear I was a different person when I was with ex oh but I'm sure I was. I love being me now ( would prefer it if I had a million in the bank) and wouldn't change a thing ( other than the million in the bank) :). I listen to friends all the time moaning about their hubbies and I just smile and make 'oh dear' noises lol

Had a lovely day again today - weather wasn't as good - it snowed most of the day and was v. windy, whereas yesterday was blue skies and sunshine, but the snow wasn't bad and it wasn't too busy. So a decent few hours on the slopes.....which my thighs will remind me of in the morning, I am sure!

Hope you have all had a good day x

So....in MSE news.....just checked online banking, and numpty halifax have taken the old mortgage payment, and have also applied for the new mortgage payment!!

and Barclays, who I had the loan with, but which I paid off before Christmas, have also taken a monthly payment of £317.

total impact of those two factors mean that my account is £1600 overdrawn with no overdraft facility

Thankfully, First Direct, who I have my current account with, are fantastic, and a quick phone call to them and they have recalled the old mortgage payment and the barclays payment, AND won't make any charges either. I can't fault them!

Thank goodness I had the ability to check my account today, though!

Good grief. I remember you saying that with the amount of stuff that went on in your accounts, you *needed* to check banking every day, even on holiday. And here's the proof. Well done First Direct, and well done you.
