Band shirts are a bit of a hit and miss if you ask me. Some can sell for up to 30 quid yea, original vintage faded ones, but theres not a massive market for them when the sorta people buying these t-shirts are probably young new fans who just buy modern t-shirts for under a tenner.0

If we are on the subject of vintage clothing. If you ever see a leather biker jacket with a label inside that says Aviakit grab it (in any condition) some of these sell for hundreds. They're from the 60's/70's.
I've found a few at car boots and charity shops. The manufacturers name is actually Lewis Leathers which appears on a little patch on the outside but this often falls off overtime and people don't realise what they have.0 -

I've obviously got the right ones then as all of them have sold and at top prices; they are vintage but not faded.
Phase 2 is to get out the faded t-shirts with holes in ; I saw one on there that had holes under both armpits and yet it still sold for £30 - yuk!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

I used to buy rare records/cd's and knew PSB stuff usually sells well. No one had bid on this sampler so I was the only bidder (poor description helped me!). I paid £9.70 including postage. I put it back on ebay 2 weeks later with picture and good description and sold it for just short of £170 plus p&p!
The only thing so far I've bought and resold on eBay was an old leather doctor's bag for which I paid £6.54 inc p&p. The seller's feedback was -1 at the time, but when I checked her feedback and replies, it turned out the negs were for delays when she'd moved house, so I sent a message just to check that she had the item ready to post, and when she confirmed that she did I was happy to buy it. I cleaned it up a bit, took more photos, measured it and described it a bit more thoroughly than the original listing and sold it for £16.99. Not a huge profit, but a profit nonetheless.0 -
Patchwork books sell really well, I bought 5 from a car boot sale last year for £1.50 and have just sold them on ebay for £25 (+P&P) so does patchwork fabric if it's a nice pattern, 100% cotton and cut into a fat quarter.
xmas theme fabric sells really well this time of year. I have made about £50 profit from buying a few metres very cheaply in January and cut it into fat quarters and sold in Nov-Dec.
I have also sold parts of smellies gift sets I have received at Xmas, (used half and sold the rest) for a few pounds.
Small/Petite clothes sell well, as do M&S bra's especially if you are prepared to ship abroad.
I used to keep everything and now I just sell what I don't need or haven't used and buy new stuff. I love ebay.Murphy's No More Pies Member No. 28 on hold0 -
I tend to buy anything christmasy in the sales in january suchs as
Gold Glittery Ballerina Pumps which I Paid £8 just sold them this yr for £28
Thats reminds me I have some new Look tops which cost me £3 and have christmas writing on that i must sell!
And some M&S Childrens santa hats to sell must dig them out!
I also used to buy and sell advent calendar on ebay as fans of say buffy/ charmed outside the uk cant get hold of them they would sell for anything up to £15!! and only cost me £2 max!0 -
I rarely bought guitars from the UK ebay to sell in the UK.. it was mainly the US.
But if a guitar auction ended in the middle of the night.. or during a national football match.. then there was always the chance of getting it fora hundred quid less than it was worth and then being able to sell it on a week or 2 later.
Best trick ever is to search spelling mistakes.
The guitars I sold were call "gibson les paul" guitars but my search term was "(gibson, gisbon, les paul) which brings more results back. Also just people not realising what guitar they had.. selling it as a "LP classic" but i spotted it was "57 RI Classic"... thus making it worth double.0
