  • I love all these christmas threads.

Thank you yummy-mummy-amy for the passport you did for Patch Jingles and the treasure hunt you emailed to me, you have been very helpfull, there are so many ideas and activities on here that I dont know which ones to do!

I showed my Mum little Patch Jingles the other week and she asked if they had a girl version as she thought my little girl would like to have a mischievous elf of her own, soooo I have HAD to order one!! She should be here in the next few weeks, cant wait, but now I have to think of a name.

  • hiya, i was on last years thread but never managed to do it due to a family member being serousily ill then died on the 17th of dec, so im back for my first year (again), over the last few days i've been thinking about it, i got the disney buddies/paw dvd boxset (£18 down to £12) from hmv so going to take out the space buddies and air buddies out and then leave snow buddies, santa buddies and santa paws for the elves to give the girls during their stay. going to start looking for things again and get orginised. :)

    hi,

hope all goes ok for this year. i cant type too much as have little people nearby so will refer to them as E! i also need a name for a girl (4th E). she got long blonde curly hair with pink bobble.

was looking through box and most of what is in it is craft bits. i did manage to pick up rugrats xmas for £2 in asda sale, but not sure if for a dvd night or to go in xmas eve bag, so may need buy another 1. but ebay have xmas 1s in couple months.

as easter i bought my boys a wooden fort for the garden, was reduced from £400 to £200, couldnt really afford it but never mind. we treated with green fence paint and got army netting for it. i'm hoping to eiter buy or make army outfits for E's so they can have a night out there. (kids were told wouldnt be getting as much for xmas as usual).

our local warehouse/trade shop etc has started to get few xmas bits in (rolls of paper etc), so i;m sure will find some bits in there.

We had our elf come at Easter time as the Easter bunny left the kids a note and left them clues which sent them all over the house and out into our garden with a key to the shed to find JJ Jingles sitting there with their Easter eggs! :D He also recently sent them a scrapbook of all of his antics from this past Christmas which they look at constantly and laugh over. I already can't wait until December again as my two little ones have some of the best memories of last year thanks to JJ Jingles.

    hi,

i have just ordered the elves photo jigsaw for the jigsaw evening!!! its a photo of 3 out of 4 elves (all 3 from last year) sat on red material, kids saw the photo. has just cost me £9  BUT it does come with a box unlike most of those that are cheaper.

is anyone else making plans yet? i have a list of things i want to do and a list of things they can leave (like craft bits etc) and a list of dates i have just got to combine all 3!!!

1st and 2nd are sorted - they put up tree and decorate it on 1st, with pants n nappies as they heard i had new decs, 2nd they WILL be re-decorating it with the new purple decs! :rotfl: the 4th elf is coming at some point but not sure when yet.

I saw this last year but didn't know what it was either and after much searching through the thread couldn't see anything to explain it either :(

Maybe someone could add what Christmas elf is all about to the first post so new people could join in too? I'm sure dd is missing out on something magical x

the magical elf is an american tradition. you have an elf stay with your family from 1st dec until xmas eve, the elves are there to make notes on good/bad things BUT they get into mischief along the way.

my kids love having the elves to stay.

if you go to elfmagic.com its fully explained there.

i have added some information to the 1st post.

ebay is great, search under gnome and fairy, the elf can be anything, not just a traditional elf, my 2 year old has a soft fairy doll, and my 2 eldest have knitted gnomes. you can check them out on my elf blog http://blinkysmickleifigus.blogspot.com/ to give you an idea - hope this helps
