  • I've just came across this thread and want to do it for my own kiddie winks, and the kids in work also.

My problem is I can't decide which elf to buy :undecided
Have got it narrowed down to these 2

Help! I want both lol but can only afford one :(

I have the same one as on the last link and it is gorgeous! Definitely recommend it! Because it is small it is easier to do things with it too!

I only paid £4.99 for mine though so might be worth having a look around!

I really want the second one, but this is the only place in the UK I can find it :( The rest from America you have to add on $15 delivery too.

I got a Elf puppet in our local card store for £2 today:T, and will use stuffing from an old cushion to fill it and sew it up, but I'm really not keen on it :o . I really want the one from that place, but I refuse to pay that money for it!

If anyone sees this one any cheaper elsewhere can they please please please let me know!

i have the second elf, hes lovely, i got him last year and could only find him for the same price so i would recommend snapping him (hes well worth it!) xxx
  • We have two elfs, one is Dudley a soft toy one and then the official elf on the shelf girl who we called Lucy. We bought Dudley the first year we started and then bought Lucy last year. Dudley comes out and about with us but Lucy stays on the shelf at home as she keeps her eye on things making sure everything is in order at home.We even made a little skirt and boots for her too. Very excited to have them come and stay again this year. Just need to decide on their christmas antics and activities now.

I've decided to stick with this one I got for £2, and stuff him. Will keep an eye on the one I really like and when/if he comes down in price I'll snap him up then, I really can't justify spending that amount of money on a small teddy TBH.

I found another version of "elf on the shelf" but it is called "Christoper Pop-in-kins" - also comes with a story book like the original. I found one for £15 at Amazon - half price compared to "elf on the shelf'. The good thing with this is that it also has flexible arms etc so you can make him hang on curtain rods etc.

Yeah I've had my eye on him also. You can get a girl version also, but she's not as cute IMO.

Here's our elf stuffed and stitched. Cost me £2 :)

He's still no name, and shall have to see about finding something for him to sleep in etc now

I have been looking for an Elf bed but may have to make one. I can't seem to find a red Santa sack that isn't huge.
    It's all so exciting :)
