  • Just wanted to say a quick thank you for the cards sent to Christmas Crackers Frosty Toes. We have had much excitement seeing who they are from and love the little surprises inside.

I have sent ours out tonight, sorry they are a little late :o I am afraid they are a little rushed and probably look like they are done by a five year old :rotfl: but I hope you will forgive me as I am a little pre-occupied due to my school receiving the dreaded Ofsted visit notice today. Wish me luck tomorrow everyone
  • hmm apparently my children don't like orange milk!!!!

    good luck little_lil
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Havent had chance to post yet this year, but just checking in to see what everyone's elves are upto...

It's our 5th year with Elfie Stardust... really struggled to get going with new ideas the first week. Thought I would share what he's been upto in case anyone needs fresh ideas

-Built a sleigh out of duplo pulled by my little ponies
-Wrapped the girls Christmas trees (in their bedrooms) with toilet roll
-Decorated their rooms with paper chains
-Camping in the conservatory in the play tent with the dolls
-Reading Christmas stories to about 50 dolls and teddies on the couch (many of whom were wearing santa hats or snuggled up in stockings
-Climbed to the top of the tree to put up a new tree topper with a tinsel safety harness around him
-Had a bowl of spaghetti loaded with sweets, treats and maple syrup (just like in elf)
-Laid the table for a family breakfast with new elf placemats and tray from Home Bargains, along with christmas napkins, glasses and crackers etc
-plus a few easy ones like bringing them christmas choc lollies and treats

    Other plans are:
    -Fishing in the pond
-hopefully sledging outside if we get some snow
-Hiding in the fridge (will probably make the milk green too)
    -Colouring in christmas colouring books
    -watching christmas dvds with popcorn
    -tea party with barbies
-board games with other toys (one year DH had a few drinks and elfie was found playing strip poker with the Barbies!!!!)
-zip wire from the top of the tree (this is a favourite every year)
-snow angels in icing sugar (another favourite)
-snow ball fight with other toys (cotton balls)
-having his hair done... filled with clips and pony tails

Hope that helps some of you.... looking forward to seeing some new ideas on here, tonight I think I will go with the hot choc idea... have got that in and some mini marshmallows.... I'm sure he will make quite a mess!

Elfie mistletoe was playing junior scrabble last night with some of the Christmas teddies.... all the words had a christmas theme. My 7 year old dd loved reading out all the words.

Another good one we have planned is that we are going to compile all the photos of elfies antics from the past 5 years (we do a photo diary every night/morning) and put them all on the digital photo frame and leave it running for the girls to find in the morning.
  • Our little Ben elf is yet to receive his card, he's hoping he hasn't been left off the list :/ xx

just to reassure you he wasnt left off, he should be receiving 3 ?!?
will pull off my spreadsheet & pm his chosen senders just as a little reminder .. we have had 2 so far, and i posted mine dec 4th so hoping they have arrived
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
  • Anyone who took part in the card swap & hasnt yet received any cards please let me know, I think maybe a couple of people have pulled out without letting me know as i have 2 people still awaiting cards, and they were both on the same persons to send list.
I am happy to post an extra card to anyone who hasnt received any, as I hate to think of anyone missing out.
Also if anyone is unable to post, again, please do let me know.
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
