Horray! Elf fun has officially started!
The kids are so exited to see our Elves - Patch and Honey again! They are sat hugging one each on the Sofa :T
pretz - My hubby started off like that last year and by the end of December he was as bad as me and couldnt wait to get up to Elf mischief when the kids went to bed lol0 -
We've had triplet elves come to visit!
Huey, Dewey and Louie Sparkly-pants, the nephews of JJ Jingles have arrived.
The children were stirring and we heard a commotion downstairs (dh arriving home from work but the kids didn't think about that - lol) and as soon as the door closed I have a box of bells which I shook as hard as I could and at the window the kids went looking for Father Christmas' sleigh! lol While they were looking dh sneaked upstairs and asked the kids what was going on. They said the elves must have come and ran downstairs to look and low and behold there was three of them sitting with a sack of advent calendars for the kids with a trail of snow from the door to where they sat. A great start so far.

Well Elfis Tinseltoes is here!!! He's been a bit of a labour of love (I've never sewn in my life and made him myself lol) but I'm hoping the kids will be excited when the get home after school as they haven't seen him yet. Going to try and find him a passport and letter printable, he's turning up with a small christmas tree and a santa blanket which was a dog cape in the 99p store lol.
Please add him on facebook, I'll try to get him a few friends0 -

Love the name, our elf is called Binky Tinseltoes, maybe Elfis is his brother
Binky is not arriving in our house until about 6pm, think he may have popped in to see friends on the way.
Have fun

Mr Jingles and Twinkle toes arrived last night before the kids went to be. They were really worried as it was so windy that they wouldn't make it but as dh went running he opened the door and said "oh, can't you reach the doorbell?". Kids were hugging them like mad and were very happy they had brought chocolate teddies in their slegh0

Our elves are now waiting for the kids to get home from school. They have been busy making paper airplanes and decorated them in green and red and have asked the kids to check to see which one flies the longest distance, along with some little elf poo, which my 9 yr old son will really get a kick out of. I just have to keep the cats away from attacking the elves as they are smaller than them. lol0

hi all
this is our 4th year of having the elves coming to stay. We now have quite a collection. We started with 3 identical ones (DD was 4 DS was only 2 and i wanted another baby at the time so i bought 3 identical ones to start with just in case i did have 3 kids by the next year! Each year we have added another type of elf to the collection - big brothers and sisters etc.
They usually arrive on the morning on the 1st dec but last night i did not get home from work until 10.30pm and DH had gone to bed, with a child either side of him in our double bed, I had put the elves stuff in a box under the bed but did not dare waking any of them up, thinking the elves will just have to arrive after school instead of before. I had been telling the kids that the elves might not arrive this year as they might go to some other house instead this time.
This morning DD who is 7 kept saying - hey look i can see Mistletoe peeping out from behind the pan, and then later Hey look I can see an elf's cap pop up behind that book....
Her elf spotting made me get up and look thinking maybe DH had hid them....
she then sent her brother age 6 upstairs and told him to look under his pillow and there was a new elf that i had never seen before. DH had never seen it either....
i need to question DD when she gets home as to where it has come from!!
DH is picking them up from school and on the back seat is a bag with a note from one of the usual elves, and they will appear with a bag of craft activities after they done their homework.
