    no probs.. :D

yes, I will 'close' the list in just over a weeks time (18th November) and then I will PM everyone on the list with all of the names and addresses (I hope MSE lets me send a PM that big!!!) so everyone can send each elf a card.

  • Anyone looking for an elf still, Tesco are selling a little Christmas girl for £3 and she looks like she would make a great elf!
  • Have just spent a rather enjoyable morning writing out Christmas Cards from our elf whilst listening to Smooth Christmas Radio. I have done 30 in the hope that will be enough for every elf on the list when it comes. I feel very proud and organised now :snow_grin All I need to do is put the address on the envelopes and they can go in the post. (after 1st Dec of course!)

Just a word of warning to those of you who have yet to name your elf and are thinking of joining the Xmas card list - choose a short name because i have just written "Love from Christmas Crackers Frosty Toes" 30 flippin times and my hand hurts :snow_laug

  • Eric Twinkletoes is now on facebook if anyone would like to add him.http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003157568329.
I only came across this idea as I had booked to take the kids to Kingdom of the Elves at Bluestone but now I have Eric, written the letter from Santa and the passport is under construction !
  • hi,

after the double duvet covers went so high on ebay, i decided to "decorate a plain 1" and make my own xmas duvet cover. the cover nor the bits have arrived yet, BUT i got a red/white duvet cover, an iron-on patch that says "ELF MADE" with pic of elf, 2x red sparkly iron-on patches that say "merry chrismas" and some red/white ribbon with xmas baubles on. HOPEFULLY the bits will be here and i can get it done for this yr but if not i have a yr to get it made!!!

Thanks to everyone on this thread.
I read about Christmas Elves a couple of weeks ago on here, within two days i had convinced my OH it was a good Idea and had 'adopted' Rudi Gingerbread off ebay.
The night she arrived my husband set to making her passport, complete with hologram overlay on the photo (glitter glue stamped over the top) and passport declaration signed by santa - i have to say for someone who mocked the idea he got very in to creating her passport and is now making Rudi's notepad, scrapbook (for the littlies to log the elf activities) all branded with his own North Pole design.
I have made her a sleeping bag, pillow and photo album.

We are going to Centre Parcs in 2 weeks so she is going to make her appearance the morning after they have visited Santa with her introductory letter.
i have arranged for her to go into my DD1 and DD2 classes (Nursery and Reception) and have sneaky photo's taken which she will produce at a later date to prove she has been keeping an eye on them as well as playing!

I'm sorry its a bit long winded but thanks to everyone on here we are so excited.
