sorry not been on its been mad here with 1 thing and another....

anyway - me - i'm not too bad, the pain has gone (for now) BUT the docs have managed to get my scan for tomorrow, so lets hope they can find what is causing the pains!!!

passposrts - if you email me your elfs name, dob, male/female a photo and a return email address i will get it made, emailed back to you for printing. amylackey@freeola.net

facebook - i believe all requests for group have been accepted - if anyone has tried to add their elf to it instead of themselves they have been declined, their is another group (nothing to do with me) that most of the elves are in HOWEVER, a few of the human members on their are the children that the elves visit (they sent messages to my elvesasking to be friends) and i think this may ruin the supprise etc.

Just wondered when your elf arrives, do you put them in a box with letter, passport, advent calendars and then bring the craft stuff out each day or do you also put some bits in box?

my elves (3 main and 1 visiting) all have stocking/sleeping bags which are left under th tree and the elves get put here at bed time (kids)..... then during the night (or so kids think) they do things - hide in new places, make mischief start crafts etc. so for example the make stocking garlands kit i have they would get out on the table and make a start on it BUT obviously not finish it as "we woke up and disturbed them" if this makes sense OR they leave a note stating they started it but thought the boys may like to do it.....

I'm currently sat here awaiting the arrival of my two elves one boy and one girl but I'm really struggling to name them. Did you use a name generator or think of them yourselves?

me and hubby used the name generators (my maiden name, married name, my mums maiden name etc) but didnt use the names they came up with, we sat and wrote down christmas type words, combined with options from the name generators.

the elf is also going to change over the toilet rolls in the house to christmas toilet rolls and he will tp the house in the normal toilet roll!! he will be very cheeky!!

if your xmas loo roll is anything like the 1 i've got make sure you've got some "nice" stuff in bathroom cupboard etc as mine is really rough and feels like the sort i had at school - cheap n horrid!!!

Ok I have to fess up to being totally disorganised with this ATM. Have been occupied with new puppy over the past month and need to get up to speed!!!

So far I have only bought a couple of bits and bobs........what have you all been buying ????
I have some cards to make and will be going to wilkos for their cheap craft.
I will give mine some elf bars and choccy treats.
They have reindeer torches too.
I might get the cheap fleeces from home bargains as I did duvets last year!

Please share your cheap purchases......yummy did you get any mini playing cards in the end????

if any of you have a maplins store near you they have 4ft inflateable santa and snowmen reduced to £9.99 from£19.99. they canbe used indoors and out! great option if (like me) you dont have any and the kids know this!!!

well i started buying in jan sales at really stupid prices...... i have mini stocking garland to decorate, mini stockings to sew, fridge magnets to paint, 3 stockings and 3 santa (plaster paris pre made) to paint, xmas hand puppets to make, also got various elf books and xmas dvds

Daft newbie alert! The fleece blanket I got was from Dunelm Mill, not home bargains as previously stated. Sorry, I've been in so many shops looking for elf goodies my brain is not functioning!
Other fab bits I've picked up include lovely little kid sized canvas bags that come with a Xmas picture outline on and pens and sticky bits to decorate. A bargain from poundland. Thinking my elf might leave them out at the start and once done they will be left out for elf to fill with the goodies if kids have been good. Also got a few fab books from the book people (santas special letter & usbourne Xmas stories for little kids), the Wii we wish you a merry Xmas game, Xmas snap cards from mothercare and lego snowman for ds1. Also bought rainbow drops from Tesco for 36p (the coloured puffed wheat) which is going to be the magic elf food which the boys will get to try!
Sorry for rambling on but nice to tell others without getting strange looks! (SH)

Hi, just introducing myself as another Elf 'owner'. We have Lenny Twinkle-Toes come to visit us every year and he is very naughty most of the time. We have done the elf-thing for the past 2 years but my son is getting older and a little more suspicious!!

I thought of a name for my elf, his name is NOEL FROST his best friend is called eric, his brother called pip and his sister is holly, he will bring along a photo album with their photos in so he dosnt get too homesick! i had a look on ebay and theres hundreds of things with noel written on them, so i think its a great name! lol!


Noel can now be found on facebook for all those elves that are up with modern technology, please add my elf if your elf has an account! thankies!!

i cant add a link as a new user but his name is Noel Frost and his picture is well an elf (on the shelf)

SCAN - thanks for asking. well on a good note my liver, kidneys and gallbladder and appendix are all fine and no stones/bits that shouldnt be there.....BUT this means she didnt actually find anything. HOWEVER she did ask if i have endometriosis (which i do) as this doesnt show on a scan, but from what i am saying and what the doc has said she wonders if its this that has attached itself to other bits etc, so she is going to add in her report that she thinks i should be reffered to the gynea team. at least i'mnot in pain at the moment!!!
