when do you put your christmas tree up?

I put ours up around 15th December (my birthday) and take it down 2nd January. The kids seem to go back to school so early now and it doesn't seem right to have it up when they are back.

My middle DD's birthday is 25th December but I think that is a bit late!!!

always the last sunday in november .....26th nov....cant wait
all the trees - 5 of them + outdoor tree and outdoor santa + snowman...just love all the lights......love the fibre optic trees could watch them all night

I put mine up 12 days befor and 6th jan down.
Have told my 3 children they can have it up earlier this year due to me expecting a baby on 21 Jan.

Forgot to say i have 3 6ft trees and have to do 2 of them my self or i moan if it dont look right lights go on and of 3 times on each befor im happy.

Christmas eve and not a second before, hot bath new pj's and tree up, why on earth would you want to do it at any other time. By the time christmas day come round I would want to set fire to it. Comes comes down 2nd of Jan
Although it should be the 25th until the 5th, these are the actual 12 days of christmas.

Always a battle in our house. OH want it to go up in September but will settle for the 1st December and I want it later. (not sure why- that's what my mum did). This year our daughter will bw22 mths so I'm hoping she will like the tree. and christmas will be lovely. It is so special and magical when kids are around.

Thought this was supposed to be a money saving website? Not a who keeps their tree lights burning longest contest! Sorry if I am not in the christmassy spirit but have just being reading about Farepac on the previous thread.

We put our tree up around 12th December, I like real trees, OH likes artificial so we compromise and he has his tree in the living room and I have my real tree in the front garden.

Usually goes up between the 12th - 15th and we take it down on the second.This year we are tempted to get a real tree ????
Any advice never had one before but have seen friends have them and put artificial ones up by christmas eve.
