I wasnt making a decision FOR you

My question was are MobileShop the only distributor we can now trust, not how should I look at the whole cashbacks thing.

I don't want to enter into a deal with a vendor who's going to try to wriggle out of its promises. If you're happy to do that then go ahead.

I just want to know if MobileShop is now the only distributor left with no horror stories attached.

Mobileshop and e2save are my recommendations - no horror stories to speak of - and no deliberate tricks to screw you of your cashback - but remember, money saving is hard work, so as Shareef says, you may have to get your hands a little dirty, but its worth it.

You can definately trust Mobileshop, it is definately the safe option but I won't be buying from them again because I find the waiting time for the cash back unacceptable. There are other dealers out there - I'm considering buying from https://www.mobiles.co.uk, like most dealers you will always get the odd few people that have had a bad experience.

If you read the merged mobileshop thread you'll see that mobileshop is now treating customers badly with long delays in paying up.

  • I've used Mobileshop without any problems yet. Still need to send them my final bill next month for the final cashback. It's a shame they don't have any decent 12 month free line rental offers at the moment.
  • Hi there - please could I ask this?? What do you do when you are presented with 3 months free insurance?? Cos i suppose in 3 months time the company will start charging for it? Or do most of you take the insurance? Has anyone ever tried to cancel it and does it cancel?? Many thanks.

I take out the 3 month free insurance, and cancel it after a month or so. Might as well take advantage of it.

They just want you to forget and obvious pay for it from month 4 - and if 2 in 5 forget, its probably worth it for them to offer it.
  • Thank you very much. Maggie
