Can I just ask where you all get your baskets from? I wondered about doing hampers for my nieces and thought about butting them in faux leather boxes. Any ideas where I could get cheap ones?

OOh I'd not heard of Bargain Madness before are they any good?

I actually got a cream faux leather magazine storer thing from Au Naturale reduced to £4.95 today, I'm going to do that as a nice hamper and I also got a couple of lovely boxes, should have been £2 each but bogof. I also got some jewellery boxes for 99p from £5 so I've got some claires accessories jewellery and I'm going to do a bling theme!

For anybody doing a chocolate-lovers basket, I found these in Co-Op today for £1.99! They come wrapped in cellophane but that didn't come out too well on the pic so I took it out of its packaging :rotfl:

    Chocolate-cake shaped scented candles!!

They're fab - how big are they?
  • Has anyone bought cellophane from ebay from nickschicks (Flower Hour)? I bought cellophane last wednesday and have had nothing delivered. Also emailed 3 times and heard nothing back

Well I bought a whole load of stuff from her but it was only sunday - however I haven't seen mine yet either

I'll try e-mailing her too and see if I get any feedback...

edited to add I just found these FAQs:

Q: When can I expect my order to arrive?

A: We aim to process orders within 3 working days of receiving cleared payment, often more quickly but we can't guarantee this. You should expect it to arrive up to a maximum of 5 working days later depending on the shipping method used.

so I'd wait another day. It does state that if you want things urgently then you need to contact them before buying (I also think they use 2nd class posting...)

  • I'm not looking for it urgently, I just thought it would be here by now. I noticed in their shop on ebay it says that they have had email problems and to contact them throught the ebay messenger (which I have) and that orders after 7pm on Friday past may be delayed. This shouldn't affect me though. I just wanted to get my hampers wrapped and in the loft out of harms way! lol :)
