oh another one for some help with!! I want to do a rock/pop star basket for my son (he's 10).. he sings (choir and school rock band thing), I wanted to get him the PS2 singstar with microphones, but t hey're rather pricey, so am waiting to see how much money we have soon.. other than that I've thought of a wig (if I can find one), cd, shades, possible jewellry, tshirt (we print our own so could have some slogan on), if I don't get a wig, I had thought of a can of coloured wash out spray... any other suggestions??
thanks

I have a cookery book for her (Annabel Karmel kids one), some lolly moulds, also by AK, recipes are in book too.. so am on the look out for( as cheap as possible).. some child friendly scales that she can actually use properly, measuring spoons (prob get them in asda), mixing bowl (will probably package it all in that), I'll also get some ingredients, decorations for cakes etc. My Mum has got her some mini baking tins that can be used too... any other ideas?

Hi
Thanks those aprons are lovely.. however I forgot to add I was putting an apron in, or at least that's the plan! We print our own, so am doing one with her name and a picture on it.. cookie cutters are good, we do have a few, but could buy a couple of new ones too.

Frogling wrote:How about an apron? Tchibo have some child-size ones at the moment, as I'm sure plenty of other shops do too. A rolling pin, cookie cutters, spatula, wooden spoon for mixing, perhaps a mini whisk? You could also get a sifter - by that, I mean one of those cups that you use to sieve small quantities of icing sugar or flour. My girls have one of these for sprinkling flour onto the work surface when we are rolling pastry or cookie dough - letting them have access to a big bag of flour is rather messy to say the least lol!

I'll take a look at that link tomorrow. As mentioned above I forgot all about the apron bit. She does have a rolling pin and little whisk already, but a spatula would be good if I can get a small one as she tries to use my bigger one. The sifter sounds good too, I have a one with cocoa in for cappucino's. I have some empty spice jars with sprinkly tops, wonder if they will be any good? Could adapt one for her, maybe one for flour and one for icing sugar? hmmm
thanks for the ideas again

Have today started baking for my hampers. Have so far made huge batches of choc chip cookies and shortbread and wrapped them in the e-bay cellophane. They look fantastic - I'm so pleased. Tomorrow is choc truffles and peppermint creams and lemon curd.0
