It's great when you take a pension draw-down with a 1100L month 1 tax code (too much tax deducted) and then receive another annuity where the payer will not accept a new tax code - too little tax deducted! I can't get to the bottom until the annuity payer uses the correct code then I can see where I am re the tax on the draw-down.

Hello, just wondered if you could include an extra drop down option so that un-taxed income could be included in a column.I have an old age pension,a private works pension, but I also receive a mobility allowance which I believe is tax-free.I am confused as to where this DWP allowance should go in the calculator. Thanks,Gary (Blackpool).:)

As it is a non taxable allowance it is not included in calculating any tax payable

Where did you get that code from?

This thread seems to doubt the veracity of the code

HMRC! It's meant to correct an over payment, but the woman I spoke to wasn't that convincing...

I am on 4 different tax codes - from 4 different income streams
2 different pensions, one from employment and one from DWP....
This "Tax code checker" doesn't work for me !!

I complete a tax return each year and check my tax liability then. I put all the tax codes that keep arriving in the bin. There may be a small cash flow disadvantage but I don't waste time querying tax codes which are inevitably wrong.
  • Thanks to the tax code checker, I was able to have my tax code changed to the correct one!

    :)

The tax code checker isn't working for me today. I've tried different browsers but it fails each time.  Could somebody else perhaps try it and see if it works for you please?

    TYVM :)
