Does anyone know if Asda take Sainsburys coupons. I am new to using coupons and don't use many but last week the supervisor at the self scan was rude to me for trying to use a sainsburys. Just wondering whether the policy is to take them or not?

hi, i work for ASDA at the head office, ASDA's policy is to take any coupons you have, as long as we sell the item and as long as they come to 10% of your shopping bill or less. if you have had problems in a particular store then, instead of crying about it on here, you should complain to the customer service desk in store or in fact call customer relations at ASDA on 0845 300 1111. i can't bare people who moan but do nothing to make the situation better.

    Meeeeeooooowww!!!!

I'm pleased to see that you use your ASDA Head Office customer service skills to skillfully ease your customers feelings towards ASDA!

I agree entirely with your comments. Its people like the first & second poster in this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=199126 that are spoiling it for everyone else. Thanks Felicity!!

    Absolutely right. Greedy Greedy people.

About time some of them got a job then they wouldnt be able to travel miles
and miles looking for freebies which when so calculated are actually theft.

Spoils it for everyone, as has been said many many times on here, but we still have to have the showoffs:rotfl:

Tesco Trentvale still calculates bogof total for voucher use. Had £25 worth for £1 yesterday as the lad took so many vouchers and duplicates

Fab one. I take it you are being totally sarcastic here.

I find it a different matter to use LEGITIMATE vouchers that LEGITIMATELY calculate and then only paying a £1 a slightly different matter than going into a shop and picking up 2 phones knowing they would be R&R then going to several other shops and doing the same thing or getting £180 off shopping . I also dont spend all week seeing which shop I can rip off the most or selling the shampoo and conditioner that was on bogoff.

I wasnt aware that letting other genuine members know that bogoffs were still available (if short lived) was a problem

Try and distinquish the difference if you can. Obviously you are one of the moron brigade.

Finally thankyou for taking so much notice of my posts.

Are you saying Felicity uses fake coupons

Not at all, nor am I banging on about those people who constantly troll the supermarkets for R&Rs. If that's all they have to fill their lives, then so be it! The thread (and my post) was about how people's "excessive" use of coupons has now meant that the stores are clamping down, making it harder (by restricting number of coupons) and more inconvenient (by having to face a supervisor when a limit is breached) to use large amounts of coupons.

My highlighting Felicity's post was showing that people come on here and BRAG about how many coupons they've managed to use. Others  also come on and WHINGE when they have them refused. As Hilary doesn't specify whether she used manufacturer's coupons legitimately for items she purchased, I cannot comment on whether she took the **** with a £1 shopping bill on a £25 spend.

I have not yet seen a manufacturer's coupon that says that it can be used against your shopping regardless of whether you have bought the item - indeed they generally tell you that you cannot, as this constitutes fraud.

The bottom line is that the few are now spoiling it for the rest of us who are glad of a quid or two of a £60+ shop.

    Hi
I was referring to your comment about showing off. The vouchers you used were one per transcation therefore you did not use them in the correct manner. Perhaps you could try distinguishing the difference next them before insulting other MSE

I was made to feel like a criminal in Asda again this week for trying to scan a VALID coupon through. If i thought they would reply i would bother writing as my complaint instore fell on deaf ears.

Thing is, i'm still waiting for a reply from the letter i wrote 3 months ago about them messing up my online order which turned up 2 hours late, and i was charged twice for, which i sent recorded delivery. What a waste of time and money.

Excuse me-- how do you know which vouchers I was referring to????

I apologise if I misunderstood your post but you are the one that put my name in capitals.

I genuinly post to help others go to the correct shop instead of wasting time in a shop that is refusing vouchers. I wasnt showing off. I only buy what I or some-one in the family needs such as the shampoo etc, I had one my daughter the 'bogof'.

If I go to an Asda that is taking vouchers should I just say this one is taking vouchers?

I do not like the ones who come on here saying 'I got 2 of this and then went to xxxx and got another 2', thats what I was saying.
