Does anyone know if Asda take Sainsburys coupons. I am new to using coupons and don't use many but last week the supervisor at the self scan was rude to me for trying to use a sainsburys. Just wondering whether the policy is to take them or not?

they will not accept other supermartets vouchers anymore which is a shame:beer:

I just read on Bob's Free Stuff forum that there is a 50p voucher in the NEW Asda magazine (out now) that apparently scans as £4.50!! And it is non-store-specific according to that site.

Here is a link to my post about it on MBN's Magazine Vouchers thread:

  • Just been to Asda today and found out from the supervisor there that the tills will be 'locked' for another month as far as coupons go because this months Asda mags' coupons are again scanning at full price and the staff have been told to deduct the coupon manually.

Well it seems every store & every colleague have been told different regarding coupons! I work for Asda & the other day scanned £6.00 of coupons, they didn't come to more than 10%, were no duplicates & all things we sell, the till then got me to call checkout support & I asked her why it did that (I should know too as I do checkout support/runner alot too as do alot of us), anyway she just said you need to type them in now not scan them!

Anyway, the next person to use a coupon I had to scan it & it was fine, so none of us knew the new policy! As far as I know we still take the Sainsburys ones that are like £3.00 off a £30.00 shop but not Somerfields. No point me asking though cause both our managers say different things, every colleague has a different idea too!

PS to the Asda House colleague ... any chance you could let the benefits people know a discount on Waterstones or book shops would be appreciated! I hate the benefits most aren't relevant to us (Just to save me writing in lol)

Different quantity of coupons accepted yet again this week but a new method of getting them through the till (probably designed to put you off bothering) - we are up to six coupons a transaction in Oadby, but now a supervisor has to come and turn a key in the till to clear the transaction right at the end!

I was told today in Asda crawley no vouchers unless you buy the item I put my foot down and was able to used £9.00`s worth. I called asda custumer services and was told the policy is still two vouchers if they sell the item, the store comfirmed this as well. my advice is the call asda house and get it in writing. Don`t be put off by there jobsworth staff.
