I have stopped shopping asda now, I do not mis use the system by trying to use pounds worth per shop, they have a policy to allow you to use coupons, yet since last week as soon as you use even low value coupons a supervisor is called and makes you feel like a criminal. I have no problems with tesco so shall contiue to shop there, I think I may write to Asda and tell them, maybe we should all do this and they may re think this crazy system of having a supervisor intervene the moment a coupon is scanned.

    Have just looked up address

Here it is for anyone interested

I think we should all write a letter to Asda. The check outs are held up long enough with handing in a few coupons and then to have to wait until a supervisor arrives makes the customers behind you all annoyed. I must admit i do tend to put two shops through the checkouts. one is for stuff i want to hand in 10% worth of coupons for products i have not bought and then the second one is usually for things i have bought and which the coupons exceed the 10% of the total shop.

i must admit Asda are not customer friendly with this new rule!! i am sure it is because they have made a big mistake with the coupons in the asda magazine.
    Just about to give up!

I tried to use three vouchers and had the queue behind me vying for my blood because it took more than five minutes for a supervisor to authorise my transaction.
It's a silly rule becuse the queues in there are atrocious at the best of times anyway:mad:

Going into asda in a few days time. Plucking up the courage to use some coupons !! I have a few £2 nss coupons for veet - do you reckon I'll be ok if I scan one through myself ?? I went to asda last week and used a 50p off quorn voucher (when I was actually buying quorn) and the guy checked my bag to make sure I'd bought it !!
Made me feel a bit less confident at trying my luck with coupons for items I dont buy next week !

Wins : McCains garden games set, 2xTickets to Alton Towers, Links of London friendship bracelet, 2xIdeal Home Show tickets, McFly album CD, Virgin Balloon flight for 2 with a case of ScrumpyJack cider and 2 ltd edition jackets, Powerboat racing experience, £50 Virgin voucher, Aerobie Pro flying ring & Rice Krispie squares, Tesco baby pack

I have wrote to Asda C/S HQ before to complain about out of date food that was mouldy that they were selling in Rochdale branch...didn't even have the decency to respond!
I can't bare Asda...they are only good for cheap beer and DYO pizza's..
  • hi, i work for ASDA at the head office, ASDA's policy is to take any coupons you have, as long as we sell the item and as long as they come to 10% of your shopping bill or less. if you have had problems in a particular store then, instead of crying about it on here, you should complain to the customer service desk in store or in fact call customer relations at ASDA on 0845 300 1111. i can't bare people who moan but do nothing to make the situation better.

This why we are writing to Customer services, I have been to branch customer services and no one knows the policy about coupons, they just shrug there shoulders, its appalling, if you read higher up the thread a lot of us have written and are waiting a reply, so we are not merely moaning !!

I agree but when you ring an 0845 number and wait in a queue for 1/2 hour it really take the shine off complaining which is probably why they make you wait so long.
The curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile
