    Good Morning

Just a quick catch up before I get stuck into paid work for the day

Washing is out on the line, yesterdays dried and I even managed to get it in before the rain arrived :j Just need to do the ironing, hopefully can get it done before the weekend so I can spend some time doing nice things.

Managed to get a present for my Grandma yesterday, couldn't find what I wanted for DH so will have another look today. Resisited going into Oasix yesterday and browsing in their sale but might have a quick look at lunchtime as DH and I are at a wedding reception Saturday night so I might see if theres something lovely for that.
We're having an overnight stay without the kids :j MIL is having them for a sleepover so they're very exciting about that (but not as much as me :rotfl:)

Need to catch up on surveys been very slack with them over the last couple of weeks but will be back with a vengenace now I have abit more time.

Think thats about it from me xxx

Just got in from work and my survey cheque for £29.40 has arrived :j
Going to update my signature as its going towards the handbag fund and will pay it into the bank tomorrow :j

Busy, stressful day and more of it tomorrow as I'm doing a few extra hours but it's all going towards the hall and stairs redecoration :j

Better go and get the mob some dinner ready

    Choo xx

    Good Evening

    TGI Friday!

This week has gone so slowly but I've been so busy, no logic there.

Not much to report really, worked some extra hours today which will all be going towards redecorating the hall at some point. I keep asking DH when we can get the decorator round to give us a quote, go look at carpets etc and all I keep hearing is "I'm too busy at the moment, lets leave it a few weeks" At least it gives us abit longer to save up I suppose.

Tomorrow is going to spent catching up with ironing and cleaning, followed by going out tomorrow night to DH work colleagues wedding reception :j I'm looking forward to that, its ages since I've got dolled up to go out.

On Sunday we've invited both sets of parents round for a late Sunday lunch so I'll need to plan what I'm cooking and pop to the shops after we get home from the wedding party.

I also need to total up our grocery spend for June, I have a sneaking suspicion I may have overspent, it was exam time though and as I no longer have that excuse I will be keeping a very strict eye on it next month.

I'm going to open a bottle of wine now and catch up with some surveys - kindle fund desperately needs a kick start.

Hope everyone has a lovely Friday evening xxx
  • bit slow on the uptake, sorry! but :j for the exams being over at last :T

I think the relief takes a few days to get your head round, but it's great that you are getting on with lots of other stuff and enjoying life :)

have a fantastic time at the wedding reception and  for the handbag fund being over half way there! :T

    Thank you Mummytogirls and Lionheartedgirl

    Good Morning

    Where has the weekend gone?

Saturday night was brilliant, still feeling the effects this morning with tiredness but well worth it.
I'm enjoying socialising again and need to keep making the effort especially with DH as we seem to get caught up with the kids so its easy to overlook that we need to make an effort with each other and not just be Mum and Dad.

I need to make more effort to keep in touch with friends, family friends, DB etc as studying took over my life for so long.

After work I need to give the house a quick tidy, sort out the pile of washing, sort out the airing cupboard, make some dinner and work on our finances tonight.

I need to work out from the budget how much we're going to save up each month for some home improvements that are desperate to be done, Christmas savings, ISA savings etc.

Must make the pack ups this evening as well!

Will catch up with everyones diaries tonight as I've been really bad at that as well just recently :o

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Hi Choo, sounds like you had a great night out.
Everything sounds like its going to plan in Choo's world!!

I definately think its important to keep up with friends and also go out away from the kids with DH. You are right it is so easy to just be mum and dad and keep up with the relationship as just you 2.

Sorry ive been awol! had a mental week last week!!
