  • There is NO need to use a CMC - or this company. They will not do anything that you can't do yourself.
All you need to do is contact your bank directly and state that you wish to complain about PPI.

I recommend that you call the Ministry of Justice Claims Regulation on 01283 233309

Tell them what you have said here. In particular, tell them that Lifestyle Claims took a fee from you without first providing you with details of what you were signing up to.

I was taken in and paid them £600 to fast track my claims, this was an other con, but I recently recieved a letter that closed my account with them and I was told that my payment would be returned 28 days after they recieved my letter. I still have not recieved my money and the onle reason they come up with is that the Ministry of Justice have forced them to make changes to their payment system for returning money to clients, but the Ministry of Justice have only forced them to stop taking money up front from clients.

The further developments I referred to in my last post were that Swansea Trading Standards had sent me some complaint forms to fill in. These were completed and sent back.

I spoke to someone at Swansea Trading Standards last week and was told that they had received numerous complaints about Lifestyle Claims, the Ministry of Justice had now barred them from taking money upfront.

  • Hello, I too was taken in by this company. They contacted me last November and informed me my contact number had been given to them by the MOJ as it had been highlighted that I was entitled to a ppi refund. I believed them to be completely legitimate and when they recontacted me to advise their experts had examined my paperwork and I was definately entitled to at least £2000 per claim and I could receive this money within 10 weeks if I signed up to their 'priority service'. Stupidly(I cannot believe what I was thinking!!) handed over £2400 with the belief this would be fully refunded within the 10 weeks. I rang weekly for updates and was constantly fobbed off. Finally I wrote a formal letter of complaint at the beginning of June and received no response until the beginning of August when none of the issues I raised were addressed however they offered a part refund of £1200 as it was established I did not hold ppi's on two of the claims however two claims were still ongoing. I was asked to send back an agreement to this and I would receive payment within 30 days. After 30 days with no further contact I rang and was told I needed to wait for 30 working days?? This time has now elapsed and following a further call I was informed that their cheque printing machine is broken and they have no idea when it will be fixed. I have written to them every week threatening them with the MOJ, Financial Ombudsman, Trading standards and taking them to court however these letters are completely ignored. I have sent all correspondence to the MOJ and hope that this has been effective in having their registration downgraded however feel desperate and am in real financial difficulties due to my stupidity. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I can do next? and does the MOJ have the power to make them return my money?:mad::mad:
  • Regrettably FOS does not cover these scum and MOJ does not seem to act.

    Better to report it here.

    It is advanced fee fraud.

If you paid with a credit, rather than a debit, card, you could also make a complaint to the card provider as they will be jointly and severally liable under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

Just thought I would let you all know, Lifestyle claims has handed in its authorisation and is no longer registered with the ministry of justice.

Looks like there winding up and doing a runner.

Heres some usefull info. Company director Mr Ryan Stanton has recently become director of a new company C4LL Ltd, hes obviously going to do this again under another company.

Heres the good bit, Mr Ryan Stanton, the man who took your money, has registered his new company C4LL Ltd at his home address, which is:

This may be usefull to anyone wishing to take legal action against him.
  • That is good news - except for Stanton the fraudster's victims.

I suggest complaints to actionfraud cite him personally.
  • :(The Ministry of Justice have wrote to inform me that Lifestyle Claims have surrendered their authorisation and will not be able to complete the service that I paid for. I paid the full amount for the service by credit card and have now sent a letter to them claiming under Section 75. I have forwarded the correspondence I sent to Lifestyle claims as evidence that I have repeatedly tried to resolve issues however am concerned Barclaycard will reject the claim. Does anybody have any idea what my chances are?
  • If it was a credit card then, ironically, if Barclaycard do not refund you then you can take them to FOS.
