hello all,
its my first time in researching lifestyle money, only to realize i have no hope of getting my money back.
Same story as all, cold called, and tricked into giving my credit card details over in december 2011. Because i was told i had 2 ppl claims ( the current credit card, and loan for a car) i paid 2 upfront fees without my knowledge, so £700 was deducted the same day.
Tryed to cancel the agreement over the phone, but due to xmas getting in the way, my 14day period to return the documents was out. Had harsh words on the phone to them many times, but just left it. Some work colleagues have used different ppi claims companys and all were successful in getting around £4000 back, i assummed i would too with lifestyle.
I did receive a update email in may with the status of my 2 claims stating they were in the final stages, i have now relocated to Perth, Australia.
I get no reply to my emails, is there an international number i can ring to contact them? as 0845 numbers etc wont work from Australia.
I will write them a letter soon via recorded delivery, but now after finding this forum, i feel as though its a waste of time. I now feel so embarrassed to tell my family back at home!0 -
Do not trust this bunch of liars and ringers. They are uncontactable on their phone line. I cancelled within the 14 days and they have swindled £375 from my credit card and wont pay it back. I have proof of delivery of cancellation and am in the process of filing a dispute with my credit card provider. Im am also considering laying a fraud charge with the police and department of justice.

They will be on a final scramble for business ahead of the Legal Ombudsman coming online.
Expect them to set up a phoenix company, though.0 -
why is it when you leave a comment on here saying that you have had a good service from somewhere that low and behold it dissapears???? bunch of crooks out to black list companys where the customers are stupid enough to give them money from credit cards and dont read the information or dont know what they are actually signing upto. as i wrote in my previous post i had a sucessful claim with lifestyle claims and was very happy with the service that i recieved.
The only reason I came on this site was to find out if anyone else had had dealings with Lifestyle Claims and to see if my misgivings were correct, they were.
I should have come on here before I went any further, stupidly I didn't, but I've got my money back.
Further developments are ongoing but I won't reveal what they are.

Hi i have been approched by this company and just wondered if anyone has used them and had sucess?
I have used this company and they were successfull in obtaining PPi that was missold to me by barclays, the sad thing is that Barclays contacted me and told me that they would have been happy to pay me anyway. The problem with this company is the £299.00 + VAT set up fee that is not refundable, although it does not say this on their terms and conditions, secondly they persuaded me that it would help my claim if a payed an additional £550.00 to use their fast track system. all compensation has been paid since last march but the fast track payment has still not been returned, they claimed today that they had a problem two weeks ago with a cheque printing machine but could not be bothered to contact their customers to explain this, my tip, run as fast as you can away from this lot, you can usually retrieve your money by sending a letter with all the details to your lender.0 -
Do not be a victim of lifestyle claims. Dreadful con artists. They called me and a gentleman called Adam Stamsfield forcefully knew my credit card company and card number and proceeded to say I have charged your credit card with £358 and that I can claim £1500 back for you. Well I didn't think I was entitled to any ppi to that amount.
He said I had to wait for the welcome pack. Firstly I was at work and couldn't take the call but he wouldn't listen he went on and on.
I was really worried firstly how he had my credit card details and I swear to god I didn't give him them.
It was too late. They have hounded me three times a day for the past 8 months and now I ignore my phone I'm fed up with them calling. They did claim £830 with a compensation payment of £276 for me but they have also sent me an invoice saying I owe them £299 and another invoice for £97 and an invoice for £147 all in all they want me to pay them £500 & the £358 which = £901 for a £1100 claim that leaves me with £201.
I am so stressed I have contested with lifestyle claims that I am not going to pay the invoices but they are now threatening me with a daily charge on each invoice amount and that they are going to take me to court. I have been at my wits end with them.
Why would they get £901 and I get £201 it doesn't seem right.
I am considering paying these invoices just so that they leave me alone.
Please please spread the word and don't use this company. They should never be allowed to trade and rip innocent people off.0
